    Garage space for a noob

I'm looking to run my first race on the 25th. I just found out the garage situation.... Does anybody have garage space I could use / rent, or any leads on who might?

Is this your rookie weekend? If so they have a rookie garage there where first timers can go.

Csmutty - coming in with the big info. Is that really true?

Ductard - I forgot to mention I've got Pirelli slicks and rain tires for your KTM to get you on the grid.

yes. LRRS dedicated the garage next to GMD to help rookies out for their 1st weekend. started that program last year

I'll post this again (Repost) ... that is no longer the novice garage. Center 18 is rented out. My understanding is that the novice garage is a few doors down towards the Seacoast garage. I'm not sure of the actual garage number though. Kurlon believes there may not be an actual novice garage at this point. I think he may be right. I believe Amsoil usually takes in 2 novices and 2 amateurs ... I think they already have their novices, but check with Sam (sdog30).

The rookie garage isn't in play this year from my understanding.
But what they do is they just find space for you and let you know.
Regardless I'm sure someone could use a garage mate here

Re: Garage space for a noob

Ok, so I'm trying to register to race and I'm a bit confused.

It looks like there are some broken links and outdated info on the lrrs website....

So, I have taken the Penguin Basic Roadracing course, but that's as far as I am as far as registration.

The "registration" link on LRRS' website leads to a login, but there's no link to get a username and password.

I'm assuming that once I fill out and send in 2014_lrrs_license-application_instructions_medical.pdf this form, they'll send me login info? And that once I register they'll give me definitive info on whether or not there is a rookie garage?

I'm guessing I need to get my butt in gear filling out the application, but let me know if there's anything else I should be getting in gear about (bike is already safety wired, Helmet is Snell approved and manufactured in 2011).

Have you done the rookie race yet? you are most likely going to have to fill out your license application and register for your first races at the track. filling out the app and mailing it in is not an option at this point as it wont get done or probably even looked at for months. once you register for your license at the track they will give you your login for my.nhms.com and you can register for races

If they're making you take the school - you sign up for races at the track after school Friday night.

If you're ok with your past certification - contact Wanda @NHMS and she can help direct you to a login.

Re: Garage space for a noob

FYI - rookie garage was center 12A during the last round, in case somebody else asks. I got a different answer from everybody at the track (LRRS staff and random racers alike) until I asked Steve from Penguin.

Props to the guys next door in garage 12, who were super-helpful.
