    Wayward Rookies

One of my friends, an LRRS rider coming out of retirement is at the track today looking to take Penguin again and revive his license. He's on a white DRZ400 (his street mount) as he hasn't sealed the deal on a 'proper' tard yet. Last I talked to him, he's partially wired the bike but doesn't think he can finish it enough to do the rookie race on Saturday...

Someone take him under their wing and get the job done so he doesn't have any excuses. : )

I'm going to try and get to the track Sunday to hang out and do the Larry Lap, I wanna hear NEW war stories from him, make it happen!

For this weekend, as a novice, yeah. Hell, his DRZ has a few ponies more than the KTM I was riding.

Puppet raced a drz for a season and did quite well on it if I remember. Hope he can get it sorted before race time! Tell him to swing by the garages and introduce himself!

Definitely a ringer. He has not forgotten how to get everyone else to do his work.

haha...I raced it for my first weekend...just took a couple races before I was able to get back with the KTM. I was able to pull a 2nd and 3rd (and a crash from contact) with Pilot Powers..haha. If he puts some decent rubber on it he'll be just fine in novice.

Definitely won't cut it to bump to yellow plates, though
