So I won the VESPA that they raffled off this past weekend for the Connor LaFrance air fence fund.

A few folks have pm'd asking if it was really me. YES IT WAS!!!

I was kind of speechless when I found out that I had actually won it. Just the whole reason it was getting raffled off really hit home for me.

So some folks say i should re-raffle it off and donate the money again to the fund. Some say fuck it you won it keep it. Some say do what i feel is right.

I don't know what is right. So I am throwing it out to fellow racers, looking for opinions. WHAT WOULD YOU DO???

It was a raffle for the fund. The point of a raffle to raise money, which it did, and to have a winner, which it did.

What's the guy that wins your raffle supposed to do? Raffle it again? And the guy that wins that one should raffle it again? You won it, keep it.

I also think that's a bold statement for them to make.

I say hold on to it, have some fun but DON'T FUK IT UP!!!

After you've had some fun maybe raffle it off again later if you don't have a need for it or sell it & donate some or all of the money.

And yeah, I agree w/ Jay's last statment. If the people running the raffle wanted that to happen all along it should have been made obvious. Yes... LRRS racers in general are pretty damn generous... but we also have people that friggin steal bikes apparently.

obviously you won it so you have every right to keep it.

but i think it would be kinda cool to raffle it off again next year....could be the start of a cool tradition, who knows. but dont feel obligated to do either.

its for the airfence fund, which is probably the best possible cause (since it directly affects all of us)

If its worth anything, Id personally sell it, take someo f the money buy a pit bike for myself and give the difference to the airfence fund. Like was said, you won it, you can keep it if you want. I just dont have the need for any sort of expensive pit bike, so thats probably what I would do if you feel the need to give back.

If they made presumptions after you won it that is just uncool... Did you say you were gonna give it a paintjob and raffle it again?

i'm with ryan here. if you want it, keep it. if you want to sell it, thats your right. if you like the raffle idea, thats pretty cool to.

Its yours. I bought 1 Ticket for me. and SMF and I bought a ticket for Stupidhawk and we agreed if stupidhawks ticket won we would reraffle it. If my ticket hit I would prob. sell it and split the Cash w/ the fund.

But thats me.

I think If its was assumed you would be obligated to raffle the scooter off again they would have sold far fewer tickets.
