There are 3 rounds left this season, and I will be bumping to AM for next season. My best finish is 2nd, and I want to get a win before I bump. I am only racing in race #1 on Sundays, GTL. Could someone please loan me their bike for these next 3 rounds? Of course, I would like to buy a motard, but I will have to wait until at least the late fall to do so.
Thank you.
I never won a race as a novice. man up and bump.
(I cleaned up as an AM...)
if you pay for tricky-mike to do the top-end on mine I'd prob let you use it.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
It's not the bike.

That bike is substantially faster than my EX, and my EX goes a lot faster than that (especially with a better rider than me on it). Unless it's really bad at turning, I don't see it being the bike.
That said, I can see how a better bike would help. Friggin preteen borrowed a tard and went from 27s pb to something like 21s or 22s. I'd love to get on a real bike to get a feel for going faster, and then see how it translates when I get back on the EX, so I see where boos is going.
Maybe I should start pitting with motard guys and then bin my bike?
19's this year, lap record on one is 17s IIRC.
Lord of the racetrack? no... I'm just asking why. It's never been in me to borrow equipment to turn a faster lap, I've just worked harder, braked later, or made mine more competitive (susp, etc).
I was asking details so I could see if there was a reason good enough to lend my bike out.
Since I'm "lord of the racetrack" I will be keeping my bikes in my garage.
Also, FYI, the "I have no money to buy" usually reads "I have no money to fix if I damage".
I was giving you a chance to sell myself, or others on it... Oh well, good luck!
Kitt, I took your response as nothing less then condescending.
I've put in the hard work, and I've put in the time and money to develope this bike further.
If I had money to buy, I would buy. I would have bought Denno's bike in a heartbeat.
If there was a legitimate intent on considering my request, I thank you. However, so that there is no feeling of something owed by either party, just except my thanks and maybe a beer on the 8th.
looks like Dan should ask Kitt to borrow a motard.![]()

Mark got faster on his EX by running a Middleweight PTwins SV650 for a bit, and using the brake markers/etc from it on his EX. I got faster jumping on a different bike, not because of an increase in skill but a change in feel/confidence. Never did get to see if that'd translate to lower times on the GS though... That said, if my Katoom was running I'd lend it to ya Boos, but I'd want a go on the Buell in trade. : )
If you are still in NV you can run mine for a race or 2 Boos, after I get it that is. It could be a while until I do though. If you are still looking to ride one next year and haven't had the opportunity to yet...hit me up.

Finally ditching the Buell then? best to part it out if you want to get anything for it.
Ask me how I know this....![]()
so I guess you don't want to do a top-end?![]()

How in depth of a top end job are you in for Scott? Just valve check (easy cheasy) or piston/new valves/cams??

Ok, seeing as the head's coming off, check the valves, seats and guides. Some of the SMRs shipped with Ti valves and an excessively soft guide material, combo wears stupid fast. Kibblewhite makes drop in valve/guide/spring sets that wear MUCH better, ideally you'll just need the seats lightly recut.
So... stock piston? : )
