Collision Pros race report!

Well I got to track on Friday hoping to do practice, but I had to change my forks to a set that GMD let me use while he fixed mine. By the time I got done I missed practice.

Saturday I did 1 practice. My first race was race 1 GTO. Well they started us with the GTU race, so it was Gerard and I battling for a few laps. I showed him a wheel on the front straight, but he got me with braking into turn 1. I stayed right on him into turn 6 then next thing I knew I was on the ground sliding!! My bike was fine and I started to go again but I hit my head good so I figured it was better to go in and sit for a while. I did do some 18's in that race so I was happy even if I crashed!

I had two more races to do, but I really wasn't into it after that. I did them anyway, placed 9th and 6th. I got points so that was cool!

Sunday I had two more races. The first race the track was still wet in spots, but it was drying out fast. I placed 2nd in that. Last race got a bad start and placed 6th.

A good weekend overall!! Had alot of fun after the races!!

I show up on Sunday and feel like the odd man out because everyone else has the GMD stickers on their forks but me. I still beleive Faggen isn't a total loser because he put a new PC map in my bike and it ran better then ever. The forks worked great and I did my fastest time of a 1:16.99999999
I guess it pays to take him out to dinner if you want him to do good work on your bike.

All in all it was fun and no one crashed on Sunday.

I got there friday night....Didn't practice saturday, and never got to race either. Race 14 was rained out.

Didn't practice sunday and decided to sit out my race from saturday, because I didn't want to ruin a good set of rains by racing in a wet, but clearing track.

Raced 6, 9 and 13......also got into the 19's..a 1:19.383.

I think I might drop the rear a little more and see if I can do some 18's or maybe a 17.99999

P.S. Keven should be PISSED.

It was funny Lew got PISSED when he got stuck behind a girl one race and had trouble passing her. So he can in all PISSED and said "I'm not screwing around anymore" and you what..... he pulled off some 19's.

I wish I had a camera on your face when you can in all PISSED.

I got stuck behind Katelyn and #130 waddell, they were battling for the better 1:24, I couldn't get by them, because the track was only dry on the line in that race, Yes I was pissed. I DID get by them though.....It took 3 friggen laps.

Then....I took the skirt off and put my head down for some respectable lap times. I WILL be faster next time.

i myself got slower as the weekend went on ., i hope to be back on pace next time., i guess my little crash messed my poor head... lol.... but the last race i did all 19's and 18...

Friday: Arrived and setup the Collision Pros rolling condo. Thought about pracitce and didn't bother. Spoke to Peter at GMD and decided to revalve the forks. BTW Peter they worked great. Shaved another second off of the consistant time. did a bunch of 18's..

Saturday:

Race 1 GTU 3rd:
Got a great start and lead for a few laps then the usual suspects got by 726 and someone else. So I am running 3rd, then crazy Fever 575 comes by we battled for what felt like a week. He got by and put an expert between us. I lost some time and boy was I beat. I figured 4th aint bad so I let up a little and rested. Then he almost kills himself up into 4 forcing me to pass him again and the battle started all over again. I think I did my best lap in the latter stages of the race even though I could barely see. Finished 3rd. Not bad for a fat out of shape guy on a 90 degree day.

Race 14 MWGP: Postponed until Sunday

Sunday:

Race 14 MWGP: I sat this one out because I only had slicks and it was still pretty wet.

Race 6 MWSS 5th: This is the race that all the fast guys seem to enter. I went into turn 1 a little timid because I didn't want to get taken out by someone not being careful on the green track. Got passed on the last lap by 878 that damn RR has some power.

Race 10 MWSB 2nd:
Another great start. Had my best out lap 1:21.00. Battled with Kevin Roup again. I see this shaping up to be a little internal battle between him and I. I led the race for a while but he got by me in 11. I challenged him in 3 but went a little too deep and he ran under me into 4. I got on the gas hard and almost high sided up the hill. Not wanting to lose 2nd to Dave G 989 who I am pretty sure was right behind me I corrected my line and continued. Next time I am going to win this race.
