pretty similar to 2013.
Note: three CCS rounds at NJMP again that don't conflict with LRRS.

you were sitting right in front of Tom when he announced the dates. I didn't really listen to any other than June but I recall he did say there were 2 rounds that were a week apart.
June is gonna be tough for me since my annual 3 day track day event in MI is 23-25. not sure how I'm gonna pull that off. I wish we could get the daily Classic schedule earlier than a few weeks before.

With the exception of last year, LRRS has always run on Labor Day weekend. Labor Day is on September 1 this year, right after August 30-31.
This works good for me because the May and Labor Day weekend events are three day weekends with the USCRA on Monday.
Before you panic, if you noticed that the Loudon Classic is the weekend after Fathers' Day, this is because the Gypsy Tour event is also a week later than their traditional spot.

Schedule looks good and well coordinated. I understand that the new staff at NJMP was much better than in years past about coordinating race dates and avoiding conflicts. I plan on doing all the NHMS and NJMP races next year.
As for NYST....there is still much to be done there. I rode there when it was freshly paved, and have watched on board video from late this season. Although they've made a few changes, I feel that there is still a bunch of work to be done before that facility is ready for racing. With that said, I hope that they get it done.....any track that is "race ready" is safer for everyone involved. NYST needs significant changes in run off and protection in a few areas and it also needs to make changes in the pit in / pit out configuration. The infrastructure is another story.....it would certainly make it nice, but it's not impossible to race from that perspective even as it sits. There are many tracks out there without the amenities that we are used to at Loudon. Racing can be done at those facilities - it's just not as nice. However, making it so that riders can't ever get into the trees - that's a mandatory thing from my perspective and there is work to be done. Ask Tom Fournier or Marc Smith - those are two good friends who were both lucky to survive crashes at Bridgehampton when they got into trees...and those trees even had some protection.
The good thing is that NYST does seem open to feedback, and we may visit there together with a couple other experienced people to give them a list of priorities. I am by no means the final word on anything, but I will let Penguin riders know when I feel it's ready by my standards. Others will have their opinions, and that's OK - it is a personal decision. My analysis at present is that NYST is OK for riding like a street ride on a twisty road with no cars....you can have a lot of fun there, as the ribbon of asphalt is a really good time, but you need to stay well within your limits because crashing could have big consequences. That's not race ready....not yet.
