    Looks good for a Motard, but that's about it...maybe even a 250 and not a 450

Next question, will it be back to normal for the Classic weekend?

    Ohhhh hell naw! I'm out........

    ........

    You wish!

I do wish they'd take that last chicane out completely or at least open it up considerably. Would make for some stellar late-braking action coming into 3.

During the Vintage Celebration, the car people set up false grid near the Turn 11 Gate and let them out on the track there. Big minus was that we had to wait until all the cars were off of the track before sending the next session out due to the overlap in traffic. We tried it with the bikes, but I had a rebellion on my hands. We finally changed Pit Out back to where it normally was. The bikes just go right out onto the track. This should not be a problem during the actual racing, because y'all will be going out at the same time. (I hope) During practice, I had the Turn 1 flagger doing double duty. In addition to the flagging, they stopped bikes coming out on Pit Lane and let them out when there were gaps in the traffic. It worked well and I'm looking very forward to a whole weekend without giving a single "improper entry" lecture!

I don't race but that's gonna be ugly...... not to mention a higher speed prior to braking for T3.... Yikes!

Re: Current Track Configuration for Turn 1-2

To me it doesn't look like the you would be entering T3 any faster than the normal set up. Don't forget that you would be carrying more speed going into T2 from the normal setup. The last chicane would most likely lower your speed more than that.

Can't wait to see the T1A view! Denno thanks for posting that up!!

    About what I was expecting...

We'll see how I feel about it after I get out there. Gonna be interesting but pretty much the only other option is to cancel the race weekend.

I think this is all a giant scheme conceived by Chad to get everyone on motards so he has a REASON to hate everyone!

Re: Current Track Configuration for Turn 1-2

Hmmmm.....this could be interesting. And yeah, you're going to be enterine the turn 3 braking zone a lot SLOWER judging by that last chicane. Looks like it will almost bring you to a full stop. Motards, we are going to have some fun. Big bikes, holy fuck.

right, because entering turn 3 faster is better

people can't negotiate it as is

Re: Current Track Configuration for Turn 1-2

    hhmmm
well, it could work, but I'm not so sure it will make for good racing. That is about as close to a one-lane layout as you can get. However, it is a big change from what you guys are used to and change is good right?
My only concern... well actually my first concern (i'll find others tomorrow when i have time) is who is going to be fixing the barriers all day? I have a feeling they will be clipped once or twice.
