Vanson has a patent on the double zip so anywhere else you get it from is ripping them off.
Hmm i dont think a patent here means dick in italy. I have family that is or has worked at vanson if it wasnt for that I would never have bought there stuff.

Well, my suit arrived today.
I have to give a HUGE THANKS to Bill for getting it done so quickly. He told me 2 weeks and had it in the mail to me in less than a week from getting the order. He also 2 day air-ed it so there wasn't a chance of it being late getting in on Thursday so I can get to the track for Penguin on Friday. He also had to order, and was able to get, royal blue leather within the time frame. THANKS BILL!!!!! :cheers
Anyway, he was able to do everything I wanted, the colors, perf'd, aero hump, dual front zips, low collar, a tab for a chest protector, and some lettering for good measure. I tried to keep the design simple, and I'm usually horrible at picturing these things, but it came out really nice. The quality of the leather is also noticeably thicker with minimal seams compared to the MotoGP. All in all it seems to be well made and durable and I look forward to not finding out how well it'll work!!
I do have some alterations that I'll have him make next week. I shouldn't have done the measurements with my chest protector on. The upper chest is a little big after he added the 3 inch adjustment for stretching over a bike. Without the chest protector during the measurements, it would be perfectly snug when I put it in afterwards. The arms however are too big all the way through. I've already talked to him and it's an easy enough fix to take out of the underarm stretch panel and tighten them up. I'm not sure where it came from, but I'm going to re-measure and mark the suit. The legs up to about mid chest are pretty darn close. Close enough that I wouldn't even bother if that was it. However, since I'll send it back down for the arms, I'll probably do a pinch here and a pinch there.
All in all I'm incredibly happy with the suit and the customer service. Since I was working in such a tight window, I'll use it this weekend and then get it tightened up before labor day. The way I see it, everyone has a slightly different idea of how they want their perfect suit to fit (especially that I'm mostly on motards), and Bill has no problem doing the alterations to get it there.
Feel free to swing by T1a this weekend and check it out. Here are the two pics he sent me before he mailed the suit. I haven't taken any since it got here.
