Cutting Seat Foam?

I picked up a piece of woodcraft 3/4" closed cell foam for use on the superbike tail of the SV. I can't seem to find a way to cut it that yields a nice edge. Scissors, industrial scissors, razor blades, etc... Each one results in an edge that looks like ass..... what'd you guys use?

there is no way to cut it clean. Pre formed rocks. Otherwise do your best, then sand the edges with coarse sandpaper (and look like ass).

long serrated knife (like a ginsu) even back and forth strokes- DONT apply any pressure let the knife do the cutting. When its done hit it with an orbital sander very lightly (one edge down ) to smooth out any imperfections.

Depending on how much material needs to be removed, an electric bread knife has worked well for me followed by the aforementioned sandpaper.

...that and a sanding drum with 80 grit.

I use a socket and a hammer to make my holes for the screws... You know like a punch system...

I use a grinder to shape the sides. It is a bit messy bur works great.
