Have to admit... every so often when I'm going down the straight at Palmer, or Thompson, or wherever.... it creeps into my mind:

"What if my bike just locked up right now?"

You're not on a 2 stroke any more Tony.

Though 4 strokes locking up is rare it may have happened to me and luckily I got the clutch in before it got too bad. Not wide open on a straight but wide open coming out of a corner. Got a real good look at my front tire wear pattern and front number plate though.

I was worried about Barnes when his bike started smoking and he wasn't slowing down. Flat out down the back straight at Daytona.....yup I almost covered my eyes.

I was with you Kerry, was very happy it didn't completely let go while he was at speed on the banking.

You’re right. The filter caused a different crash. I saw ‘Daytona 200 crash’ and just assumed it was the big one.
