EX500 water pump cover

Anyone have an extra water pump cover lying around on a parts bike or something that Harrison could buy? Surprise, surprise, the penny that he JB welded on, shot off today. Looks like he is going to epoxy it again to get through this weekend since I couldn't find any dealers that could get one in time.

I've got a whole water pump assembly he can have... but I dunno if he'll have much luck getting the cover off of that fuckin spacer plate

I'll bring it up with me on Saturday as a back-up plan in case you can't find anything else.

Cool dude. He's installing the engine guards tomorrow so that should help for future crashes.

The EX is rejecting the penny. Try a nickel. It might like it better. You get what you pay for. 1 penny is good for one race weekend. A nickel should at least get you 5 race weekends.

It popped the penny because it's a 'high energy' metal and was having a hard time bonding. Many plastics are even worse. Use a nickel as suggested, and scuff it up real good. Put a layer of epoxy over it as well so it's encased.

I don't think this is an accurate explanation of what happened. I like Gino's better. We'll use a nickel, but just because Gino says 5 cents for 5 weekends. Maybe we should try a dollar.

Well there is a nickle on there now but I hope to have the new one on before 5 race weekends. And if all goes well the cages will be on tonight. The back up plan is the nickle though. Would still like to have the cages on at least.
