clouds stayed away for race #4 on Sunday and i found myself in a decent starting pos. 3D.(3rd row against the wall) its a good place to be as i have discovered that the inside isnt all its cracked up to be. flag drops and i drag the clutch waaay too long. i usually just dump it and pin it, but not today. i grab 2nd and loft the front, i roll off a little and then back into it but it stays up. she comes down and i settle into T1. 2 go by into T3. i start to hustle. someone forces their way past Kelleher in T12 and he takes the green line which balks the guy in front of me and of course me. the hunt is on. ive learned in EX that EVERYONE has more motor than me and you can see it in the video as everyone walks away on the straight and the chute into T3. a couple laps go by with me behind Skip (kelleher). hes faster on the straight but im on him by T2, then he pulls to T3 and i gather him on the brakes pulls away to T6 but by the apex im on him. not quite fast enough to go round the outside of T8 or T9. then it happens. i brake into T3 and i realize that im rapidly approaching him on the brakes. i move over and dive in as hes tipping for the apex. i beat him to it and put my head down for 2 laps just trying to gap him since i know he could motor past me on the front. while im doing this i see that im slowly reeling in a 3 pack. i get close but never close enough. i would make minor mistakes every time i would get close. i take the checkers for 8th. my first top 10 in the dry in Expert.video below

Looks like your forks stay compressed at least till that apex (or even past)...is that becuase of trail braking?

Cool write up and vid. Time for some more motor, or are you just going to run it the way it is? Congrats on the first top ten, I'll drop by the bus and say hello next time up there.
ill probably leave it alone until i cant leave it alone anymore. want to keep it reliable so it wont be anything major. 2mm over and maybe some bigger carbs. dont think i want to fuck around with flatslides.

that was Skip. its hard to see because there is a bike between us but someone goes around the outside of him in 11 and shoves it in front of him in 12.

Damn Oxx you're a beast on the brakes. Great video.
In T9 are you trailbraking through there as well or just using neutral throttle to scrub that speed?

Best video I've seen ever that shows the hell your front suspension is going thru around Loudon. Nice dude.
Boston --> San Diego
yeah, i have a tendency to do both. i would rather be out wide on the entry to 1 but ive been known to go the orange box route occasionally.
depends on entry speed and if there is someone in front of me. in the beginning i was trailbraking because i was going faster than Skip (you will also see me run wide a couple times while im behind him so i dont lose too much momentum), but usually a little bit of braking on the entry and then neutral throttle.In T9 are you trailbraking through there as well or just using neutral throttle to scrub that speed?
