Well I had another good weekend, so I figured Id share.
Pre-note: my personal best before this weekend was a 1:29.2
Saturday practice, first session out as an AM, try to keep up with people, dont succeed much, but I did achieve my personal goal to get into the 1:28s, great success
Second session, little bit of the same, drop the time into the 1:27s
Saturday Race 1: GTL. Im absolutely terrified, mainly cause I know Rick Doucette and Todd Babcock will be coming up on my race fairly quickly. Get a decent start, get in behind Tom Joyce and basically stick with him until a red flag. Sit on the hot grid for what seemed like 15 minutes. On the restart I dunno what happened, but I couldnt get the bike steering where I want it to go. Almost crash in the bowl on 2 consecutive laps, but I manage to make it through. Come in 6th, and drop my personal best to a 1:26.8. 2.4 seconds faster than my previous best w00t.
Then the rains come, the alley works feverishly, but cant get my rains on right, both brakes were sticking, for my next race, race 5, so I'm forced to DNS my first race ever, I was kind of pissed, but we did what we could and the boys did as best they could to get me out. Work on the wheels for about 2 hours, finally Dan asks Dana to come look, of course he has the problem solved in 5 minutes.
Saturday night, so excited to see Kimbo fight on CBS. Course, Im so tired, I get back to the roof and instantly fall asleep and miss the fight, dammit.
Sunday practice, start slow, first session get 1:29s, second session drop back down to the 1:27s, alright, acceptable.
Race 3. PTwins get a decent start, could see any EXs in front of me, but get caught up in the wave of motards (I HATE EM) and both Tom and Pete get by me. Follow them for a lap, toms in sight, petes directly in front of me, come to turn 3 Pete apparently thinks hes on one of them damn motards and tries to jump the curb, which turned out fairly unsuccessful. Find out later hes ok and finishes the race, which I like, but his attempt puts me into 2nd. Since I had to grab some brake to avoid Pete I lose Tom, never to get sight of him again. Oh well, 2nd place in my first Amateur PTwins race, cant believe I got wood.
(It should be noted that since I've started wearing my Straight Cash Homey tshirt I have not had a Sunday without wood, so it will continue to be worn until I go woodless. Its starting to be a lucky charm like Tiger Woods red sunday shirts)
Race 9. Since I missed the race yesterday, wanted to pick another up, so I figured Id do ULSB with 1a and half of NESR it seems. Well it was a great race, Pete learned why its not wise to taunt me coming up and over the hill. But I ended up racing alone for most of the race, well at least until Geno so carefully and respectfully passed me. End up taking a 5th which Ill certainly accept, and Ill let my fellow Zip Tie Alley member who came out victorious in the latest ZTA grudge match. And Doc didnt get my dollar HAHAH, I know you wanted that.
So, sorry if this isnt as entertaining as my last race report, since Im not drunk yet, but damn what an awesome weekend.

I came incredibly close to grabbing your dollar on the cool down after the GTL in turn 6. Every dollar can help my race program

I never had any fast, can I borrow it when you're done?
Cool down lap is cheating!
Someone finally figured out my master plan (I forget who sorry). I only have the dollar on there to distract people from the racing. THe more youre focused on the dollar, the longer you remain behind me! MUAHAHAH

You looked good out there! I was kinda looking for that "rolling roadblock" and had to do a double take when I realized that roadblocks sure do move quickly. Congrats on a good weekend.

Clean and Fine passing, a lap or 2 Before I Saw you entering 6 As I was going Going into like 8 So I had no idea you would get me. You really put your head down. I thought I had you in 7 But you got a little sideways when your rear tire went off the track I thought We were both going Down. Then Again I almost got you and pete after the white flag Going into 3 But it would Have been the Most bone headed pass Ever with an 85% chance of all 3 of us in the tire wall, So I held off Got you in 4, you got me back going into 6 (i am breaking like a little bitch in 6 and going into 1)
It was fun racing with you guys, I will do it again next weekend

THREAD JACK!!
I had been SLOWLY reeling you in and was right on your ass on like lap 3 but I missed a shift and lost a drive coming outta 12 and you got ahead by like 2 seconds. I had to reel you back in and I think you must have blew 1 or something... Gino passed me and I knew I had 1 fewer lap to get you. Pete was just icing on the cake. Too bad about the incident but the result stood so I guess there was no wrong doneI gotta watch those flags!
...Not that I am one to give advice but I think if you try my line in 6 and 11 you might be faster there. You looked REALLY good in 2, 3, 9-10 and got good drives coming outta 12!
My wiggle in 7 was not all that bad on the bike. I think I just hit the rumble strip out there.I knew you were coming!
We will get "the fast" back!!.. You gotta steal some fast back from Dolla. We gave him too much of ours!
