Posted my race bike for sale in the classifieds: http://www.nestreetriders.com/classi...php?product=22
Mongoose is taking a look at her this weekend in Center Garage #8, feel free to stop on by.
Due to personal and (mostly) financial reasons, I am again forced to exit from racing for now. I'm going to turn some attention to my 851 and get her built up nicely and will be attending many trackdays in the future.
When my mind is a little clearer, and when I don't have to worry about how long I can stretch a set of tires, I'll come back at 100%.
This is an absolute hairy-chested beast of a 750SS. A different breed from G-man's bike, mine is carb'd and raw, but very light, very fast, and a solid runner for anyone looking to go into the Ultralight fray.
Email me with serious interest please.
Regards,
Scottie D
you're an evil bastard, Scottie.... i'll definitely be considering this bike if it's still around at the end of the season. I'm still trying to figure out if i wanna flog an EX in '08 or if i wanna pick up somethin just like this.

how much racing has been done since the motor was built? and do you have/could you get a tittle for the 99 frame?
~ Life passes most people by while they're busy making grand plans for it.~
Well to start things off.... I made some changes to the setup to get the seat a little lower, and dropped the ride height front and rear... she not only is much closer to a stock SS for seating position but handles like a dream now. One of the benefits of this bike is the frame has multiple mounting points for the subframe, a total of 6 way adjustability on the lower mounting points and 3 different upper mounting points.... so you can get the subframe and seat just where you want it.
I went up 3 teeth in the back as well and she pulls very hard out of the corners.... I'm finally not getting kicked in the teeth by the SV's, and pretty much dragged dead even w/ Rockwell's bike in the Ultralight race yesterday.... he just got by me at the line though, I think I have about 50 lbs on the guy so I was pretty happy w/ how strong she pulled down the straight in a dead-even comparo to one of the best SS's out there.
Also re: the title issue, I bought the bike w/ no title, so I wouldn't have one to pass on... I honestly haven't a clue on the history of the frame, all I know is that BCM built it up as a race-bike IN 1999 so my hunch is it was never titled for the street. The frame is what's left of "Little Luigi" which killed everything in 1999.
As for the motor (I did a little more research), in 2004 it was brought to BCM and the heads were pulled and it was gone through. It was raced in the '05 season and the '06 season (both seasons it was a 2nd bike along side an 800 dual spark version). Oil changed every other race weekend. I am planning to check the valves, and I have a fresh set of belts for it. If I were to keep the bike, I would have BCM or another Duc shop freshen up the motor. (New rings, seals, gaskets, etc.) As far as compared to other Ducs I've ridden the motor feels very strong and I have no worries so long as the rpm's are kept below 9k.
If anyone has any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer.... I have to admit that part of me really wants to race it again as I finally started to get the chassis dialed in and the bike is turning / braking / accelerating a lot better now.... but if I'm going to do this, I'd rather just have someone show up with the cash and take it away....
Update: I will do $2500 if someone wants the bike in the following shape...
No brake and clutch master cylinders (aka, source your own.. brembo gold line would work fine or GP radial pumps, or 999 style radial pumps... etc.) Gold lines will cost you $200 for both, likely much less if you wait and find em on eBay or from a racer.
OEM Brembo wheels w/ rains and OEM rotors
I'll even toss in a set of sintered pads that should be pretty good for a stainless rotor....
I still will include the spare gearing (a buncha different rear sprockets), the spare belts, etc... I may even have some spare clip ons and what have you kicking around somewhere.... basically everything except the radial masters and the mag wheels...
Let me know...
Scottie

ha, unfortunately no test rides... I took the mags off, and the rains / brembo wheels are on. The front has a bend in the rim, but I'm getting another rim to replace it, so it will have 2 straight stock rims, you can have the slightly bent front rim (I'm pretty sure it's been raced on w/ the rain tyre) if you want....
Looking to get this done soon... if you're interested, let's talk!!!

I really want it but I can't justify two racebikes to the wife. It would be smart to have a Ducati Racebike and streetbike but the lil Hawk has stole my heart and I can't give up on her yet. Sorry.

Doc you Fucker..... I never thought you wood floop to annother.
Watch out those bkes are like spears in T3. Just ask Greg... Those frames don't hold up well when meeting up with a Aprilia 250.
You still owe me that Technomagnesio wheel rear rim. Don't you forget it!
Now we got 2 cheater bikes in T1A. You still need to get down into the 19's to make it all that and a bag of whoopin my ass. I've set my goal the 2nd race weekend this year. Look out next year.
