"Loudon Road Racing Series, ultralight superbike race, #949, CRF450 motard vs 800CC honda hawk at New hampshire motor speedway, NHMS. DJ Venom - Action
editing and audio are sloppy as hell, and I had to teleport about half a lap in the middle in order to fit the length of the video for youtube, but whatever, I'm awesome. "
All I wanna know is did he get you Scott?
Oh and Jay... It is a 700cc Hawk. Not 800!![]()

Yea! Good video Jay, Brew, and Scott! Damn is it April yet!!
I enjoy watching Scott ride, always have. That fella is awful smooth.
Always amazing to watch how slow the motards are on the straights. Just watching Scott's Hawk pull away is like 'oh booooo'.

Ohhh yeah thats a great video. Unfortunately I am in it for a very short time! Scott and Jay kicked some ass in that race, I remember well! Who cares what Scotts bike has got (well it does seem to have some BIG motor though!), it's all about the rider in ULSB! I like to think about it as VERY heavy GP bikes with wide power bands! A very fun class but doesn't get the cred.
Nice riding Jay & Scott!!!!![]()

here's a thought: that was with the wrong clutch springs so until september it (when I got the proper heavy duty springs) it was slipping more each time out... there's no way all power was to the ground in that race. I
my stone assembled motor (all 700cc's of it
)
and congrats again to jay for riding a great race for the win
btw, doc you're about 4 months late w/ this post... is zach not letting you sleep much these days?![]()

It was a great race. Even in the first couple laps you can see the sections I'm gaining on you, tells you what you need to work on. I think it helped scott a lot seeing how I ran up to him from 9 through 12. For you I'd say adjust the line through 1A-2, drive harder our of the bowl and adjust the line coming into and through 10. I think you've got a couple seconds to gain with that.

Turn 2 and ten are similiar. Watch the entry, you're on the track closer to middle or apex so you have to turn tighter, carry less speed, and be lighter on the gas. Start out wider, slam the bike down and get it pointed then power through and out and let it stand up. Turn two starts at the aproach to 1A, notice on lap two how you slide way to the left coming through it.
Awesome teaching points! I am learning ALOT from this Vid and I don't even think I was in that race.![]()
