Well my weekend started off thursday night getting to NHIS around 11:45. Trying to set up a tent in the dark sucks. I talked to Heath for about two minutes and then he went to bed. I finally made it to bed around 1:30.
I woke up the next morning around 6:00 and relized that my air mattress had a leak in it and I was now lying on the ground freezing my sack off. I tried to sleep until 7 before I needed to get up and ready for penguin, but it didn't work.
Chad arrived with my bike around 8:15 with his music blasting and his "Wake Up Bitches" good morning. We unloaded my bike and I snapped my shift linkage in half which chad so nicely fixed for me while I was in class. I spent the rest of the day in penguin in the classroom and on the track.
My instructor, I think his name was Kent, he was on a KTM and had Yohoo leathers, was very helpful and gave a lot of great tips to me.
I did my practices without crashing which meant I got to sign up for my license and some races. I finished the day around 7:30 after waiting in line to get my license transponder and sign up for some races.
Overnight we setup the projector and watched Faster and Faster 2, a bunch of people came over and watched which rocked. The next day I got up around 7 again to go to street and comp to get my numbers and number plates.
Went to the rookie riders meeting and riders meeting, dull as I expected, then went and got ready for the rookie race. As I was waiting at pregrid a guy talked to me about one of the bolts on my front wheel not being safety wired even though it was![]()
. Did my rookie race kinda slow because I had no interest in crashing, ran a 1:46 for my fastest lap, which was 2 seconds slower than what I ran in practice. The bowl is where I'm losing a lot of time because I slow down way to much there after my lowside at Tonys.
I had to work saturday night, DAMN YOU UMASS LOWELL, so I missed my second race of the day and headed home. Big thanks to all the Low Down Racing guys and everyone else that helped out over the weekend. See you all in october.

Nice dude. I've been totally MIA...link to the Tony's lowside story?
No story really, still not sure what happened. Think I got to hot coming into the bowl, wasnt off the bike enough and was on the ground sliding up the hill. Replaced clipon clutch lever and shift linkage.Originally posted by Proulx06
