I was gonna say "Down and Out", but that might have given some people the wrong impression.
Figured some people might be mildly interested in the state of my affairs with the race bike.
1) After getting everything ready for the first weekend, and then dealing with the resulting issues, I have not touched the bike since getting it back in the "garage".
2) My Landlord (aka Mom) will be PISSED if I spend my rent money on getting the bike fixed/race expenses in time for this up-coming weekend.
3) I've already slacked for two weeks, Im not gonna bust my ass to get the old girl up and running.
4) The priorities of life that I have been ignoring should be attended to.
Maybe I should have followed someone's advice and just stuck to track days...of course, that will all change when I actually grid up and throw down for an actual race.
I did want to give a late thank you to those who helped me out with almost getting to the afternoon practice on Friday the last race weekend!
Most notably Trouble, who has really been the go to guy for everything not just for me, though he does get a lot of phone calls from me!
PK and Degsy for the preliminary diagnosis.
FireBolyEric and CEO. Eric, for letting me take the CBR out for a few laps...So awesome man, thanks. And Chris for the offer to use the R6 in my rookie race...would have been awesome.
And to Heath, Doc, Q, Scott, Nate, MotoFab, and Big Rick.
Better late than never.
Wish I was going to be there this round cheering for you guys! Be safe, go fast, and have fun!

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
The track will be there ready for you when you get ready for it. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be out there this coming weekend but there will be more to come. Take your time, get you bike straightened out to the point that you are comfortable with it, and then recommit. Good call in not pushing it IMHO. I'm here if you need a hand when you do go tearing into it. You know my number.

Awwww, Shucks..You'll be missed Bro!
To be honest, I was ready to offer my SV. Unfortunately, it won't be ready for this coming weekend. Still needs the chain done ( Eric Boos & I are going to hook up on that this week sometime.), oil and filter need to be changed, general maintenance done, and completely rewired (safety wire).
I've been dragging my ass on this, since I didn't need it until mid-June.
class act .. ive been getting help here and there from a bunch of guys from this forum as well in my quest to get racing.. truth be i cant believe how unbelievably helpful and willing people are to get others into or keep them in this sport that we all love... crazy thing is, ive never even met most of them.. well if its any help to others, feel free to call or pm me for anything i can do for ya.. i look forward to meeting many of you on the 25th..

Should have bought a Honda Bill....![]()
Thanks for the words guys. I'll miss it too, but, as Trouble said. The track will be there waiting. Thanks for the offers and support as well. All I really need is a little boost to get going on the bike, and I should be ready for the end of the month
Thanks Chuck! That would have been awesome! I don't know how I'm the man though...all I did was execute a perfect front flip off a little Hawk this one time.
Ha! No comment...
