That guy got lucky. I don't think he hit anything solid

Did anybody else here witness Dale Greenwood's epic T3 crash? He hit the top of the chainlink fence in T10.

    Re: OUCH!!!!

WOW. I wonder what the injuries were. Looks like he hit an air fence, then flew over the wall.

Dale ended up 2 feet from where I was standing-on the other side of the fence.

I was watching with my brother and my friend Jim. Might have even been my rookie weekend. As it was happening my brother (a long time corner worker) was already running to get throught the turn ten fence. My friend Jim (who was a national level rider and had been retired since 1996) was getting excited about roadracing again until this happened. He just looks at me and says, "yeah, I remember that part of racing. Maybe I'm happy being retired."

That incident instituted the much needed and more accessible pass through of the 3/10 split. I highly recommend anyone on the track take a good look see of where that is on a slow lap so you know just where you can bail if need be.

I was behind Ted Norton when a motard blew up right in front of us. Ted went down instantly and for some reason I was able to stay up. I almost hit a corner worker coming through that split at like 50-60 mph. Shook both of us up and I just stood there for a few seconds holding her hand.

looks like he just locked u the rear wheel. You can see right around the 12 second mark in the video he starts leaving rubber behind and right as it launches him it looks like the rear wheel is no longer spinning. That was a pretty vicious throw though.
