SV650 Questions....brakes,gloves, tires.

Howdy, Im headed to VIR next month and want to get new brake pads and tires for my first gen sv. I have dunlop gpas now that need to be replaced, not sure what pads are in there. Just wondering what everyone runs for pads and tires, I run in the intermediate group at track days but I want to get into racing next year. I like the gpas but Im open to other brands etc, also where an affordable place is to get a pair maybe?? Also I need new gloves, any suggestions on an affordable pair, not trying to spend as much as a track day on a pair but i Dont want cheap either. THanks in advance!!

Pirelli tires, DP brake pads, Racer (the brand name)gloves. I have a second gen sv race bike.

Vesra RJL's were the hot ticket for a while and are pretty good, but other manufacturers finally came out with higher performance compounds for the SV.

I like the EPC GPFA pads, but probably overkill for a mid-pack track day. Always some kind of Pirelli rubber - gomtag.com

I also have Veshra brakes on my SV and have been running with the top experts in Loudon on them.
Pirelli tires are pretty awesome both on DOT or Slicks.
You can buy cheap take offs to try and see how you like them or jump on a new set right away.

I would love some takeoffs, last day of the year for me so they just have to last the grand course at VIR FOR A day. Im leaning towards the vesrahs...

What organization is renting the entire facility and allowing you to run Grand Course?!?

Wow! That's huge. As far as I know, they haven't run Grand since we accidentally did it in '09. Enjoy that. It's a very unique opportunity.
