I think the operative word is "park"
And you just found your 17's!

Your bike seemed to have a bit more punch then his, I was just waiting for you to pass him again. Had him for a bit there to.
Nice video![]()

Who is #50? Seemed like he had motor!
Thanks for that Vid. I needed to get some markers in my head.
You did well braking into 3 Pete!

I sure hope so. This was from weekend 1. I think I picked up some more speed through there this past weekend.... gotta get a little more now & keep building it evenly around the whole track. Me thinks the bowl is my only serious weak spot but I think that practice session chasing you & Mullin helped me out a bit.
Yeah, my motor seems to be a pretty good one for a stocker. Fresh & strong. Not sure if his is getting or what.
He's using a GoPro Hero... think it's an HD but I'm not sure.
Ya mean 60? White bike, white leathers? That's Bill Tansey.

Hey no editing your post!
Yeah, I figured out after I posted that was the first weekend. Last weekend I'm sure you were going much better through there.
Maybe wait just a hair longer before turn in. That way you can brake later. You definatley want to apex 6 way before the cone though.
CCS LRRS #454
Pete, I think your line is too tight going into the bowl. Lightweight bikes need to take advantage of the banking and get on the gas well before the apex. It was always my goal to be WOT at the apex. You can't do that on that shallow entry. Out wider, you can actually brake later, making it a little easier to defend you position. Make a quick turn in to shut the door, and fire it for the apex using the WHOLE track on the exit.
In the vid you can see that you are shut off/slowing til the apex, and your bike is not pointed towrds seven enough to be WOT or anywhere near it.
You're smokin out there, but now you have to find ways to be WOT earlier and more often.
Wow thats a good vid. Will really help with lines.
Parking in 6 is hardly the term haha.

Thinking the same thing all.
1.This was April
2. Line in 6 is not that bad. What is killing you is that you are not letting the bike get to the outside of 6. If you carried more speed in you would be able to use all that room on the outside.
By the way, what the hell is that black thing on the outside of 6? Is that more track????
Again this was April...1 second slower than now. I bet you figured it out.![]()

nice video!
on and on, South of Heaven
They repaved the apron. It was pavement before, it was just very rough base often covered with dirt and stones. Now you can run a little wide without smashing your rims as you re-enter the track. It's very flat compared to the track and could induce a spin if you tried to use it as more track. There is one little spot that can be used without penalty though. IMO runoff hasn't changed at all. The new gravel stops things in a hurry though.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering if it was built up or just laid down to get rid of the cheese grater.

"holy crap do i park it in 6"
thats what i was tryin to tell you
you could try taking a tighter line....like through the dirt...oh wait..you already tried that.
i havent seen the vid so i dont have any constructive criticisim...just teasing words of encouragement

Pete, you have some strong point.. but you are right. T6 is a mess for you :-)
Thanks for the input, Paul!
Yeah, I DEFINITELY need to get on the gas sooner, that's for sure.
I felt a little lost though there the last couple of weekends... Which leads me to believe a big part of it might be that I'm not getting my eyes up soon enough. I'm betting in my case, eyes up earlier = gas on sooner. I'll try that, along with a wider entry.
Yup... I felt better through there this past weekend and I think that showed in my lap times, but I've still got more room for improvement.
That wasn't a tight line into 6, that was a wide like out of 4/5. Get it right
Haha, thanks Scotty. When ya have a chance, feel free to elaborate![]()
