    Need help on SV value.

2000 Suzuki SV650, always been a track bike
    Full Hotbodies with professional paint.

    CFM rearsets
    Vortex clipons
    Penske rear shock
Stock forks with traxxion emulators and damper rods
    Vortex fairing stay
    Autometer tach
    Daytona digital temp gauge
2002 motor, had 5500 miles when I put it in last spring.
    Full M4 exhaust
    520 chain/sprockets
Bunch of spares?evers clipon, rearset stuff?.

From the pictures the bike looks cherry but it is hard to gauge what an SV race bike is worth from looking around.

    Thanks,
    Randy

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Thanks for the info. The guy said he wanted 3500 for it and it looks to be in pretty cherry condition with some spares. However it seemed a little high to me.

Would need a new crickety-crank, so keep that in the budget.

I am confused, why would it need a new crank?

It's the weakest part of an SV. Especially the 2nd gen motors. After a few seasons of racing they seem to have crank problems. I'm not an SV guy, but I've been at loudon for 5 years and that's the word I hear. I'm just saying be aware and spend accordingly. Not that it may not last you a while.

Well this is a first gen SV not a second gen so that does not even pertain.

As for the value all the racebikes I have seen them go for right around 2800-3000. I would probably pay upwards of 3300 for that kinda set up though.

No no 03 was the first year of the second generation. I have an 02.

FYI fitting a gen 2 motor in a gen 1 is not easy.

Great, you guys are the best. Looks like I will most likely be trading my 600rr for this plus some cash. Here is a pick.

Now I have another forum to try and keep up with

you are actually really local to me. do you go to bike night? i dont really have anyone around anymore to ride with down here. Everyone moved lol.

I dont have much of a budget which is whats killing me. I will end up finding something that is half as nice as that one and putting some work into it. I need to find out what year im going after though. the 03 with the tourque difference and the FI or the carbed 01 / 02. I want a toy, id love to keep it streetable and track day it. I do want to get into racing though as my skills advance. Also want something i can learn to wheelie on and if i dump it i still have my other bike to ride lol And yes i joined over the other forum as well but I know a lot of guys here know a lot about the SVs too
