    TLDR: The 1199 motor should be shrunk to 1000cc to avoid FIM rules hamstringing it, or go back to the 1198's bore x stroke to allow it to make usable power with the FIM restrictions on oversized twins according to the author.

    given my love of twins, Ducati in particular, I really would not be that upset if Ducati used a 90deg v4 in their Superbikes. Although, I'd look forward to valve adjust even less.
