can i just say how incredibly cool it was to watch your races, and see you just slide through the pack in 1-1a-2...
friggin awesome, dood. just think how boring it'd be if you started near the front of the grid!![]()
The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
I will be following the Practiceman in the next few weeks and adopting a few more lines.. I already have his line in 11 and the late brake turn 1

I won't be getting much faster. My ZX-6R is down on power, and I can't out run anyone down the front straight all I can do it stay off the brakes and hope the tires stick.
is this for real or just a confidence booster for everyone else? wouldnt think its true the way you walked away from the pack starting from close to the rear in your last race...Originally posted by kip

Well, not to say I'm the best rider at the track or anything, but I think I could do 1:12's all day long. Hell if I had a factory ride I could run with all the big name riders. HAHAHA
You will have to ask Mike (Collision Pro) about this one kind of a inside joke.
The best time I did was a 1:19 and I think if I pushed it hard and the track was open I maybe could do a 1:18 and that's it. I'm just out to have some fun. I have a 8 month old Daughter to take care of so I will not do anything stupid out there. Except cut off G-man going into the bowl if I have too (Sorry Dude I didn't mean to try and kill you).![]()
1:12's all day long? well then you would be the best rider out there then.(opinion) the fastest expert i clocked last weekend was only at a 1:13.95 ....

You apparently didn't clock Jeff Wood on a nearly-stock Honda CBR600RR and teammate Scott Greenwood on his Suzuki GSX-R600 in the Middleweight SuperSport race on Sunday.
Jeff Wood 1:12:709
Scott Greenwood: 1:12:671

OK, you're correct. They did slow it down considerably for other laps and races. They ran consistent 1:13's ALL DAY.Originally posted by gonzo6

I hope you guy don't think I'm serious about doing 1:12's. I was just quoting what someone else has said in the past. Like I said it's kind of a inside joke.

And if you did to your motors like Scott and Jeff have done to theirs, you'd be barking up their tailpipe...

I thought Jeff Wood's RR was ALMOST stock that last weekend...Originally posted by TLRMan

My Record holding Dragbike was almost stock too....well the case bolts were....
Mmmmmm lets see....
Mill heads? Well if it is warped, you gotta do it...
Cylinders... 1st oversize any way , because the stock pistons and bore suck from the factory, but if you happen to screw that one up, you gotta go to 2nd oversize.
Camshafts, just happen to grow slots on their sprockets.
Connecting rods get cleaned with a "Special" cleaner call shot peen.
Pistons magically loose weight, and weigh within 2 grams of each other.
transmition gears get "thinner"... must have something to do with intitial break in proceedures.....
Igntion timing starts to advance itself, and then retards as the RPM increase? I always couldn't figure that one out...I guess it's a factory thing
Now is that really gasoline they are running in there?
or is is highly oxygenated fuel and additives Like lead, that keep those very thin valve seat areas from burning up?
You got me....but I guess they are still almost stock....

Mark,
I was thinking of having some motor work done to my zx-6r this winter. What could I have done to get extra HP and not spend a lot of money?

Super Stock is limited on what you can do....
We just have to go thru the rules, and see what's allowed...
Biggest thing you can do is go for more compression, and maybe a cam swap. Replace stock valves with lighter ones, and replace valve springs. Forged pistons are good, but should be matched for weight. Takes some time, but there are benefits...
I think Degsy knows what's legal and what's not...
We should do a plug chop with you anyway....To see how your engine is running now....never know, may be a liitle more in it with just a main jet swap....BTW..stay AWAY from Factory jet kits....
Dynojet all the way.....

Good idea's but no thanks. Lets just use what I got. One think I like about the bike, but also don't like is it pulls good from down low and doesn't seem to have any flat spots, but it stops pulling at 12,500 and redline is 14,500? Anything above 12,500 nothing happens except once it felt like it went into neutral or the clutch slipped?
I'm not to concerned about what is legal or not, I just want some more power but don't want to spend a lot to get it. The bike should be OK for this year, but next year I think I have to move up a class and I don't think I will be winning any races so who cares if I have a couple secret mods done right.we don't have to tell anyone.
I can get those extra 2000 rpms outta it for ya...Originally posted by kip
