So is it worth the 500 clams to get the offset triples that bring the geometry back to "streetbike" specs if you will?
I ate shit going into 2 last weekend and now after thinking about it I was going faster each lap into 2. Pretty much nut it out of 1 into 1a, nut it out of 1a stand it up straight to 2 still nutted and tip it into 2 while nutted, next thing I know on my ass. The front just gave out.
I'm not sure if I just wasn't off the bike enough and exceeded the max lean angle, tire was garbage, or it was just a matter of I couldn't feel what the front was doing and lost it, or the old I don't know what I am doing?
So moral of the story is, will triples let me "feel" the front some more?

You want to take some measurements tonight?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Definately worth the beans!!! I know it sounds like a sales pitch, but it was probably the biggest improvement to my CRF. I went from a 24mm offset to a 10mm. No more chatter!
Thanks mike. Perhaps I could take your CRF out for a practice over the classic? I'll be up for thursday practice.

Eric spoke highly of the change to his CRF with it. He dropped over a second and so did Jeff once they made the switch.

Totally worth the beans. The way the Husky felt before it blew up was amazing. The feel from the front end was ten times better, and I was able to brake much much later than I was before without the feeling that the front was going to tuck.
Just my thoughts.
They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

Yo Mike,
What are your thoughts on offset clamps for pure-supermoto racing? (aka tight tracks, dirt sections).
I was going to pick up a set originally, under the assumption I was mainly racing at LRRS. Now that I'm out in NorCal thou... and Supermoto is the way of the game, not sure if it's the same performance upgrade.
thoughts?

Ooh la la.
Might be time (soon) to drop my buddy at Tri-Starr a line!
Thanks for the info.

yep, i have the tri-stars on my bike.
without the offset, you lose a lot of trail with the 17" wheel change
OK I took the plunge this weekend and I am very happy with the results. Not so happy with the dent it put in my pocket, but hey fuck it it's racing right.
Much more feel, the front feels planted, you can trail brake AND feel what the front "might" do.
All in all a great purchase. Congrats to PK on the upsell. "Hey KB you want to try these? If you don't like them I'll take them off!" fucker..............thanks Pete!!! I love them.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
So finally gonna make the move to some offsets. What's the skinny on what mm to get?
Bike has 16.5" front and stock triple.
Looking at these with 22mm offset - '03-'08 Suzuki RMZ/RM Triple Clamp Set - BLUE - Dirt Bike Triple Clamps | Ride Eng.
And these with 22.5 - Triple Clamps - Availability
Would either of these be the hot ticket?

Ding, ding, we have a winner! Paul is right.
BINGO..... I had it done to my KTM560 a couple of years back and it makes it an entirely different bike... much more feel.... just be careful like on a superbike you can't just waggle the bars at anytime in a corner..... Goes from whay-to-tippy with no feel to great control / feel ..
I wanted the offset reduced on my Husky 630 but Pete won't do it :-)......we measured the trail and when forks depressed trail turns negative.... ouch!!!! Can you spell tank slapping over T 7 to 8
