I recently bought a used XT Ultra-lap and was wondering if anyone in the general Boston area had a beacon I could borrow sometime in the next week or two (not this weekend though I am unavailable).
I want to test the thing out and make sure it works. I figure I can just turn it on and ride circles around it.

I won't be at a track event that allows timing until possibly next april (my first race weekend)... I'd like to make sure this thing works sometime soon so if it doesn't I can try to get my money back...

Two weeks isn't that far, the guy seemed cool so it should be fine anyways. I guess that will have to do as my first chance to test if it works.
Did you get my PM alex?
As long as they are consistently off, they let you know on-the-fly how you are doing.
Also can be helpful for practices, or do they have official timing for practice?
Some TDs they could also be useful...

I used to wrap a stopwatch lanyard around my right wrist and reach over and press the button, LOL. I was pretty accurate, too.
My lap timer is usually within .1 or less compared to the LRRS timers. Alex if you are in the Portsmouth area you are free to borough my AIM beacon. I believe the beacons all are essentially the same.
