Anyone know the condition of Loudon after the hurricane? How about the route getting there, from southern CT? I was supposed to race vintage this monday but I'm getting a bit wary about finding my way there. Anyone have some 411? As always, much appreciated, thank you.

You mean the route getting there from Southern NJ? As that's where we're coming from, Millville NJ. Up 95, thru NYC, thru CT, up to Loudon.
Any info appreciated.
Track itself is fine.
Every major highway from southern NH up to Loudon, NH is good to go. Can't speak on the sections of highway in the other states though.
Would think they might be trying to hit 287E across the Tappan Zee then up 684N to 84E. Any idea on the conditions of those roads in particular?
Another option would be the GW and 95N into CT and then 91N which I would think would both be fine.

I would do the Mass Pike, to 290 to 495 to 3 route.
In other words, head EAST then NORTH... rather than NORTH then EAST.

I just got the lift done on the Excursion too ... and need to test it out to make sure there are no bugs. I can think of no better way to really test her out than a little offroading with the trailer, maybe ford a river or two....

Southern VT got the worse of Irene, all other roads in Mass and NH are looking good.

This. I can tell you that 91N is fine all the way from its origin in New Haven and 84 seems clear from Hartford east as well.
For you folks coming from Milleville, avoid GW at all costs. Take the Tappanzee if at all possible.
So I may get the opportunity to meet the original 434? =)
