One of our friends and fellow road racers was killed in an accident at Mototown USA on Thursday. I don't know much on the details, it's still under investigation. Here's the story:Journal Inquirer - Darien man dies after crash in first fatality at Mototown USA in Windsor
That's a shame.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Here's a link to the obituary and guestbook.

Damn... I didn't know he was a roadracer...
That article has conflicting info, which isn't surprising from the mainstream media and a motorcycle accident. Not to mention the Obituiary says he was in a 'motorcycle race' at the time of the incident, which is wrong.
I was there Friday morning and I know many people that were there Thursday night. Joe suffered a heart attack and the autopsy cofirmed no broken bones. Eyewitnesses (that I've spoken to) say he hit a lil bump, get a bit outta shape (nothing crazy) then when he straightened up he just sorta 'fell over' and that was that shortly there-after.
Hey like any story the information gets muddled, my sources are very very credible thou so take it for what it's worth. Just read on another forum that it was a puntured lung at he passed at the hospital.
Bottom Line

Very sad and RIP Joe![]()
I'm glad he at least went out doing what he loved.
