First of all, Thanks again to all of the NESR Racing team.. Hanging around in the winter weather... I couldn't have done it with out you guys.. Gary I hope that you are feeling better.. So here is the drawn out version of the weekend..
Saturday: Pissing rain and about 38 degrees
Race 2 Amateur HW Super Sport:
Started in the 1st row in this race I think, got a good start fell in behind Gary in 3rd place. Gary running second, we get to about the 2nd lap and Gary passes the leader. I stay in third, Gary low sides in 10. I am running 2nd now, follow the leader for a while then get challenged by Bacon, we diced for a while and I finally got back past him. Then I high sided in 10. Got up and noticed that I had no left foot peg, I figured that I was done for the race. Ed (Pinhead) was working the corner at the time, so I asked Ed and the marshal how many entries in this race, they told me 6. Ed pops the bike into gear and away I go, with no left foot peg and stuck in 1st gear. I get back to turn 10 and they flag me over… Ed throws it into 2nd and away I go. I finally finished in 6th for 7 Pts.
Race 5 Amateur MW Super Sport:
After the crash in Race 2 I was a little sore but the bike was ready so I went to pre-grid. Lined up in the 2nd row for this one, complete the sighting lap and grid up on the line. The green flag goes up and I get a great start, no one in front of me. I try to hit 2nd and no shifter, the shift rod had come loose. I put my hand up to signal that I am out and someone hits me from behind. No problems there but couldn’t get back to the pits fast enough to get the bike fixed in time to regrid.
Race 11 Amatuer MW Super Bike
Not feeling so good about things for this race, my head was starting to hurt pretty bad after landing on it earlier. DNS. Looking at times I probably could have won this race had I started
Sunday: Sunny and about 55 degrees
Race 3 Amateur GTU:
2nd row start for this race. I am finally starting to feel comfortable on the new bike. GT Races are long. I finished 5th in this but not before getting lapped by Kip and 2 other guys. Picked up 8 points and my first ever trophy in this race. But lap times were still pretty bad.
Race 7 HW Super Bike:
My best race ever… I finished 3rd after being passed by Tony from DART Racing during the last lap before the Red flag. I think I could have gotten it back, we will see next race weekend. Got the 3rd place trophy but the lap times are still horrible.
Race 11 Middle weight GP:
2 wave race and I screwed up Jumped the start… So I just cruised the track trying to not get in anybody’s way. Finished Last due to the loss of a lap… OOPS sorry guys, a little brain fade, won’t happen again
All in all a good weekend. I think I will stay in amateur next race weekend to get a good gauge on the track in the normal configuration…

Did G-man mention Kip lapped him, and was only using 3 cylinders because something happened to his motor.![]()
Sorry, I'm just playing around still a lot of love right.![]()
I dont see how you could have passed anyone in a race Kip if you were only there practicing![]()

Good point!!!!!
Yes, Kip. I must say that you performed really well in your superbike "practise" on Sunday. Any idea what's wrong with the bike yet?

I have no ideaDo you have any suggestions? Do you think I should even try fuckin with it, or should I just take it to a shop and have them look at.
Most you can do is check the valves. You could start it up and see if one of the exhaust headers stays cooler than the others, that would tell you which cylinder it is. A compression/leakdown test will tell you if you have a sticky valve (or a bent one)

and what do you figure that means?
The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
Actually, I figure it mean that Gerard has to work on his fitness level (same for me too). You should go out and settle down by lap 3 then get constantly faster laps until the end of the race as your tires warm up. G is getting slower as the race progresses, indicating that tiredness is creeping in.

Maybe you haven't taken a close look under G-man's leathers. It's like a fine tuned watch kinda like a nice Rolex. Remember It was the first weekend on a new bike and he high sided on Saturday which may have left a little poo poo in his pants.
Well, like me he has to stop hiding his 6-pack behind a keg.

...if you where only practicing, whats with the trophy...???

I was told they are now giving away Trophy's at practice.![]()
well you came to the right place...um...i guess![]()
" Never create what you can't control "
i think the right thing to do(tm) is to just amass such a large collection of trophies that she won't know you were just practicing last weekend.
