OK. i give up. i fucked with it for a couple of hours which is waaay more time than it *should* have taken. the initial diagnosis of bad gas was incorrect even though the symptoms seem to mimic it. it would idle just fine. in fact it started on the 2nd kick. it warmed up a bit on the choke and then idled fine. give a little gas it would be fine. get around 1/4 throttle and it would start to sputter a little and after that just popping, backfiring and sucking huge amounts of air. if the carb was clogged it wouldnt idle worth a shit since the idle circuit would be the first to clog. mid to main jets should be fine if the idle jets are working. it must be electrical or something. maybe the CDI is taking a shit. IDK. i dont have time for it. im not working on it all night and i dont have time 2morrow.
if anyones got an easy fix idea that wont take me hours to try im all ears. right now im thinking CDI or coil.
ill still be down there and such....i may even bring my gear in case a bike falls into my hands

CDI sounds like a good possibility. I've lost a couple, one behaved similar. Bike ran like a top one day, next it was acting like it was detonating with any heavy throttle, jetted way too lean. I thought it was a bad batch of gas, then carb when that didn't prove out... and when the carb came out of the ultrasonic cleaner sparkling and still ran like shite I got pissed. Lucked and and swapped CDIs on a whim, and the bike was back in tip top form again.

Clean the carb and run a jet cleaner through the jets. Viola' all better. You sure you graduated from MMI?

Bring that shitter with you. I'll clean the carb for you and have you racing in about 20 minutes.

I just got home. Great time, Kb, Ox, jay and Alex all were doing well considering they where out motored everywhere. I did not know that mini motards where done to that extreme.

Some of those tow rigs were nicer than 1/2 the ones up at Loudon.
And Im willing to bet some of those minis are worth more than both my race bikes combined.

I'm fuckin beat. It's 9:15 and they are still racing I'm sure. 23 races and 20 of them were MX style. Qualify for the main and then an LCQ. I left at 5pm and they hadn't even started the LCQ's. Way too many classes.

Super fun. I had a frikin blast. Some of these things are silly. Props to Alex he was pimpin Dolla Bills KLX like a champ. He was running mid pack with some of these pimped out bikes. It's slilly to think a mini can run you 10k. The canadians were killing shit on their PitsterPro 195cc machines. Nice work to all the pimps from Loudon rolling knee down!!!

Best part was watching Alex come out of the warehouse. The 4 bikes in front of him all have exhaust and tons of noise and shit, then alex comes cruising out, stock exhaust, no noise whatsoever. Fucking awesome.

You definitly can tell who does it as a sport and who borrowed there kids bike to race. Next year i am putting 10 inch tires on Alexs rmz 450 and using that!

im thinking of a new motor for next year. Jones (dont know his first name )was out there a 150cc CRF70 and even he was having a hard time.
i was cheating like a motherfucker and i still didnt make the main (138cc in the 89-110 class) mainly because when something happened on the track it happened right in front of me. i was 3rd into T1 then someone kicked a tire finished 1 spot out of the main. people crashing. had a guy crash 1/2 a turn from the finish line with Jay and Alex behind me, i plowed right into him. pushed my bike across the line. it was fun as usual.
