Sounds good, hopefully you got one or two of me.
We should put some kind of $ together for Marco. Kid is up there every weekend snapping pics of us and he is actually really good at it.
My take on it at least.
Lookin good Marco!!!

I mean I am, but thats thanks to you =P
Savvas, I am with you on that.
Def open to a Marco Collection :)
PS MD, I need to see that picture of "my" shirt
I am organizing something good for next round. Stay tuned people
I don't want to take any business from arcy which is one of thw reasons I havent gotten a media vest. That said you can only be some many places at once and everyone has their on shooting style. I'll be shooting arcy an email.
This isn't about business this is a thank you dude. We know taking time off and those lenses aren't cheap for sure!
Also ill be talking to you about a street photoshoot soon if you are interested

I don't get it..?
He's giving you shit.
I assume this is saying that I havent bought any pics from Arcy..? I would guess again Pete
Not at all, dude, so curb the attitude.
What I'm saying is there are photographers up there trying to make a living at this while supporting the racers and the track, some of whom have been up there for DECADES (John Owens, whether he wants to admit it or not, was snapping pics of racers before most of us were born). IMO, a fund for Marco is a little bit of a slap in the face to those professionals who are paying to be there to offer you a professional service. I think if anyone's going to give money to a track photographer that supporting the likes of John and Arcy should come first.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that my opinion above has absolutely NOTHING to do with Marco. I think he's a super cool cat with a good eye for photography & some awesome photo editing talent. I consider him a friend, I love his work and I hope he keeps coming up to hang out, help in the pits, snap his pics & share his beer. :P
There was no attitude dude. I have bought all my pics from
John in every TD iv done with BoMo, TTD and penguin. Through the package deal that he does.
I buy one or two pics from arcy and I emailed him about an idea I had as well.
Putting few bucks together to cover his gate fee or whatever isn't a slap in the face neither makes Marco competition. Mind you Marco takes a lot of pics of us in the pits as well not only on the track which to me at least mean a lot since I don't have many pics like that.
Don't get me wrong I understand what you saying but I'm not saying lets not buy pics and just hand money to Marco. I'm just saying make it a bit easier for him to keep doing what he does. Mind you he takes a lot more pics of off the people he knows so that wasnt towards every race more towards those of us who felt the need to do something nice back
I in no way want to step on anybodies business or livelihood. Shooting professionally myself I know exactly how it feels to have others screw with your business (I am a big proponent to unplugged weddings etc). That said having people throw money towards the gate fee or even rental gear in my mind shouldn't be seen as cutting the track pro's out of the picture. There is a lot of track out there one guy can only cover so much and if you are out shooting races you miss out on what happens in the "Haddock"

Savas street shoot sounds like a blast I have plenty of ideas for that...
Can I wheeliez?
I keep clicking this thread hoping to see some more pics:pray:
^ what a noob. His elbow isnt even down...
Seriously, Shane passed me at one point and it was like I was going backwards in time. Granted, compared to his laps I probably am but still...I am much more accustomed to being the passer and not the passee. I managed to stick with him long enough to watch him ride for a few turns. The lean he gets while hard on the gas is simply staggering. Welcome to the middleweight brackets for me I suppose :-p
Marco is a cool cat!
Another good shot.
