it was nice meeting you btw and oddly enough as ox was testing out the wheelie bar on that three wheeler i heard someone yelling HEY thats my old three wheeler... and omg it still has my number on it! so yea I got a life lesson of this three wheeler this weekend! Good news is apparently his friend whom it almost killed twice.. has the pull start handle he broke off it, sitting in a tool box at home. So I might be able to get rid of that spike and save myself some TMJ.

Hahaha, hilarious!
I was in the garage working on my bike....I didn't see it, but I heard the cornerworkers/ambulance crew. It went something like this.
"we have a scooter wreck in 3"
"he highsided...rider okay"
....
"....how the fuck do you highside a scooter?"

That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
hahaha, what about the random guy that flies into the tires right after the high side? Or is that the pit lane or something?
Yea dude on the Honda Cub just cut thru the T3 runoff. hahahah nice nice. That's awesome.

I gotta tell you, event hough it is funny, it was pretty scary at the time it happened. I'm just glad there were so many of us left in the turn - cornerworkers were allowed to leave....but hardly any did. Good thing we stayed. He was pretty banged up.

bandit, thats some runoff he must have come in way too hot or somethinglol But yea the guy was in great spirits even though he was somewhat beat up. They paraded him around the garage area waving to people. Great guy, hopefully he heals pretty quick it was actually a hard hit. The bars on that scooter were twisted 180 degrees when I got to him hah He wanted to ride it back like that.
As for the how... he said someone told him the trick was to run 60psi in the tires. He came through 3 obviously wide open, you can here the tires start to chatter and he lost rear grip and it stepped out the grabbed traction or he let off, resulting in the highside / face plant.
That race was awesome though, people were jumping off their scooters and running up the hill aside of them so they could get up through 4 faster!

Is this gonna run again at the end of the month? What are the criteria?

Hey dude, glad to hear you're doing somewhat alright... I think your crash was the FIRST thing I heard about when I got to the track on Sunday morningIt was definitely a "highlight" of the weekend, it's too bad you were hurt in the process.
One thing's for certain, you definitely earned a name for yourself now... and the intimidation factor alone has gotta be worth like 5 seconds a lap!
Heal up quick & get back out there! :helyeah:

Mike,
It was nice meeting you this weekend too bad of course under those circumstances. I was the corner worker that had come over to help you out. Other than the whole not being able to breathe thing from the wind being knocked out of you, you didn’t seem too bad until you decided to try to pick up the scoot yourself which I think is where you figured out you might have a broken collar bone, I hope you heal up quick and like they said, get back out there soon! I think they expected possible accidents which is why you are all in full gear right? No worries, I think the pit bike race was the talk of the weekend regardless, if not more so due to your infamy

Jeremy Smith won the overall - the dude is smoking fast on a pitbike. He rips at the minimoto races at RT106 raceway.
I had the honor of finishing 2nd behind Jeff Wood in the 2nd wave (Zuma / fast guys). I had a good start and followed Jeff into T1 - right by Eric, Scott, and the rest of the crew! Nobody ever passed me, and we both smoked by Robbie Nigl, Jurgen Frasch, and a few other 50s.
Definitely a blast - I'd love to do it EVERY Saturday night after racing.
