My tard was doing it on the straight too. Never happened before. Nothing changed over the winter. Must be the piles of dirt causing vortexes. Or Venus being lined up withMercury.

My 70 will just get a slight wobble going down the front straight, was slightly sketchy in the wet, but staying light on the bars, and weight forward kept it manageable.

That is pretty much what I am talking about Alex. I am big so I end up scooting pretty far back by the time I can get in any kind of a tuck. I figure my weight is pretty evenly distributed at that point. As I come up to the three board I usually start to brake and slide forward as I sit up.

Listening to you blip the throttle on that animal while we were on the starting grid gave me the chills.

    Re: Motard wiggle

I am no expert, but it also seems to me that cranking up a steering damper is very similar to holding onto the bars too tightly, which might be magnified by overly weighting the frontend.

    Re: Motard wiggle

Yeah, it's weird. I only cranked up the damper a little after I got the wobbles... before that it was only offering just a little resistance. It did seem to get a little better after I added some more, but definitely didn't go away.

Could be too much weight on the front end. I get way down between 12-1 and 2-3 (helmet taps the bars when I shift gears) but I don't really scoot back too much in the seat. Basically just enough to make the tuck comfortable. The helmet tapping the bars tells me that my head is over the bars... you and Jeff are behind the bars in those shots. That shot of Jeff looks like his ass is on the last 1/4 of the seat. I know I'm nowhere near there. Something to try next time out.
    Thanks for the replies...

    Thanks, bud.
I'd love to ride it again... for 1/2 of a session... in the dry... before I'm tired

It was definitely the highlight of the day. It's a different animal for sure.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Lube.... Er, Glyde: Mozilla/5.0 440x240 Samsung SCH-U940 NetFront/3.4)

I used to get some snake-like activity from my EX fie hundo at VIR... I cured it just by sitting further back in the seat & chanting ''slippery through wind like arrow! slippery through wind like bird!''

I have to tuck. If I were to sit straight up my bike would go no where. I'm more like a wall than a sail. Get your ass as far back as you can and head on the tank.

Surprised nobody has said this... maybe the 'tard is just so happy that it's YOUR tard, that it's wiggling like an excited dog....

Mike, we can get you hooked up w/ a data sheet and compare your suspension, tires, etc... to some of those "fast guys." Might show something that's off a bit....
