I just realized one minor detail, this is a race bike, so it won't have a kickstand or a set of stands with it when it arrives at NJMP. Poor thing is going to spend it's first day back at a track since being revived from dead ignored and leaned up against a wall or bench like a dirt bike.

Don't know if you're still looking at this, but in Nov. 2010 I bought a race bike in No. Carolina and had it shipped to Maine door to door for $562. I believe it was through Freight Center.com or something like that. They ship it on a pallet with a cover. It was 1800 miles and 18 hours 1-way. I couldn't touch it time and money wise. They unloaded it off the truck and I started it up and took it for a ride. If you see this post and it doesn't shoot off into space somewhere leave a message and I'll dig out the info to give you.

Ok, so current plan is Steve from Speedwerks will drop the bike off at NJMP on the 29th or 30th, I just need to confirm who'll play babysitter to the Fizzer while it's there, and then assuming tropicoz is still on board it'll make it's way north via him.

Steve also mentioned he'll be at NJMP for the Penguin day on the 7th... does that work better for people?

I could still haul it up. I'm there camping so I don't specifically have a garage or "safe" corner for it to sit while we're there, but if you don't mind it sitting outside next to the truck by the campsite, then consider it done.

Right, so plans A through Q have failed. (Timing mismatches, I didn't want Tropicoz having to drive later than he wanted, the shop was backed up so they couldn't head out early, just didn't work out this time, thanks for trying though guys.) I can't go down this weekend as I'm on call, looks like I'm road tripping next weekend if I want a shot at racing in round 2.

aw shit! We were talking about it yesterday afternoon as we hadn't seen the bike in the pits, and then I got distracted and forgot to check in with you and make sure everything was set up. Let me know if you need anything or need me to run and get it from the shop (if you're going to be getting down this way at a weird hour or something).

Current theory is to wake up at the ass crack of predawn and do a marathon trip down and back two Saturdays from now, maybe next month, depends on my wife's schedule as I'm not driving 1000 miles solo.
