practice pretty much sucked. i was probably running high 19's low 20's.
unfortunately even though i was eligible to move up to junior and had signed up for all junior races, i was still listed as an amateur. Lrrs didn't receive my email....... anyway, I had no lap times for practice and to my surprise i was not on the grid sheets
... so after 2nd practice, i go and get everything straightened out. Now I'm officially a junior!
Ok, now i get my grid positions. It turns out that I'm in the last row of every race. Great!
My 1st race was GTO. Not a smart move, seeing that I've been sittin on my ass for three weeks. Luckily the field was small. I got a good start and led til the end. I told myself before the race that I would just use it as a long practice session. It's a win, I guess.
2nd Race HWSB
Finally! I get to test myself. There are quite a few fast guys in this race who run 17's. Unfortunately, I have to start in the last row. I kinda get boxed in at the start. Turn 1 was CRAZY! I'm not used to so many people goin that fast into turn 1! I LUV THIS SHIT! It's kinda scary being on the outside, but I made it. I had worked my way into the top 10 by the 3rd lap, then the red flag was thrown. Damn! "That's ok, I'm just gonna get a better start". So on the restart, I end up following Mike Sweeney around the outside. we passed quite a few guys (10?), by the time we came out of 1. We got a couple more goin into 3. Mike got a few guys between us and started to get away until he crashed in turn 3. I worked my way up to 4th, where I finished. I could see the leaders but I couldn't get close.
3rd Race
Pretty un-eventful. I led from start to finish, but I didn't have anyone to race with. Pretty much sucked......

1st Race HWSS
I got a good start. Ended up trying to catch 432 wihout any luck. I finished 2nd. 2 seconds back.
Personal best, 1:17666!!!! (Anyone seen Degs?)
2nd Race UNSS
This was my best ride of the weekend! I ran a string of 17's with a couple of 18's thrown in there. I also got to battle with Mike Selpe (432), even though he wasn't in my race, I enjoyed it.
I finished 1st in my class, but finished behind Mike.
Thanks to all the NESR crew!! You guy's make it easy for me!
