i might have a full ride next year on someone elses bike. just got off the phone with my old boss in AZ and since he is racing AMA next year he wants to sponser someone to ride his 03 SV superbike. i got to ride it last March and it was pretty fast, hes even put a slipper clutch in it since i rode it lastalso, since hes racing AMA i hopefully will be going with him to Moto GP next year since he told me he needs pit help (me). he told me he was in NM wrapping up the EX lightweight championship so any races he does do next year will be with a #1 plate
i cant wait

Sounds like a sweet bike thou.
I just realized my bike is so old my laptimes almost = it's age in years. That's fucked.

Ah. that makes a lot more sense. Specially since he owns a Southwest Trackday Company... wouldn't do much good promoting that around here
I guess you movin eh? No more LRRS for you![]()
Unless you are REALLY living the high life and just flying out for a few races.
In that case.. I'd be interested in going with you![]()
Boston --> San Diego
actually i was gonna "rock star" LRRS next year. you know.... have someone else bring my bike and stuff up there ......parachute in..... win some races.....then helicopter out![]()

I hear the Southwest Series is Arizona is wimpy...
Even Chad could win there

Boston --> San Diego
not cool enough for IM. i dont know about SW being wimpy..... at least i get to race at more than 1 track. i get to go to Las Vegas, AZ, NM, and Cali so thats pretty cool. this is a pic of my boss, hes the one that taught me my "style"http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...&postid=199970

Sweet photo.
Yea I dunno about AZ really, mostly messin. I do know that some chick races a MZ there in Expert and whenever she posts her race reports I read them. So crazy, for the LW and ULSB classes they only have 5 - 10 entries in Expert a weekend.
I'm sure you'll kill it. I hear that if you can go fast at Loudon, you can go fast anywhere.
Boston --> San Diego
yeah, it happens sometimes, ther were no EX thunderbike entries at the AZ race in Sept. i was looking at the points and depending how he did in NM this weekend there is only 1 race left and its in AZ and hes pretty much got 3 classes tied up. hes even been running his new ZX6 in some classes.
LV is way fast and cant wait to do Buttonwillow. NM looks fast too with 2 VEEEERY long straights, and streets of willow looks fun, they have a "bowl" too![]()

HOLY F$#@K!!!
Now that's havin faith in your tires.
Impressive to say the least.
Thats a mis-quote. It was being fast at Loudon AND BridgeHampton.Originally posted by a13x

Loudon is tight and technical, if thats all you have the bigger, faster tracks (ie-most other tracks) will throw you for a loop. Summit Point is a good example. Most of the corners there are taken at speed WFO, no braking before hand, no rolling off the throttle. Couple that with the the high speed, it can be intimidating pushing the front end at 120+ mph with your knee on the ground in 5th gear.
Bridge filled the other end of the spectrum.

I've also heard that Loudon racers have trouble with right handers and high speed sections. So your comments validate that. Least we cool with bumps and elevation.
Boston --> San Diego
What I found when i lapped the beave was we were stronger with elevation changes, taking lefties, and pavement imperfections, but we were much slower on the right handers, and the corners where you take a single line through multiple apexes. Maybe that was just me.Originally posted by a13x

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
