We have a coupla more slots to fill on the crew. We're looking for a coupla more people to be general pit help. This will include - but is not limted to - doing a lot of running around, runs to the store/gas station, running little errands around the track. You need not be experienced in any sort of racing environment, just willing to work AS a team WITH a team with one common goal. Any members to sign on will also get their own '@nestreetriders' email address...
You must be also be able to make as many race weekends as possible and be willing to hang out for most of each race day. We know we're asking a lot. But with the support we can potentially get from everyone here, it'll make the season that much easier to get through...
Any response should be posted here, in this thread...
Thanks, all!!!

Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
as I've already spoken to Degs about, I expect I'll be an "irregular regular" pit bitch this season. too much else going on to be able to commit to each race wkend, but HOPING to be up there at least one day for each... and you know I'm happy to pretty much whatever while there.
I know that what yer lookin' for are hard #s of folk who'll be there all the time, but just thought I'd let ya know that there are some of us (well, one at least) who'll happily lend a hand when time/commitments permit... even if we can't jump in for the whole ball o' wax.
WWSD? (what would Sneakers do?)

Stone, I'll be around the track a bit this year and can give you a hand. If not, I'll give you enough notice to line someone else up. Is the schedule up yet on LRRS site.

They've had the 'tentative' schedule up for a while now. Not sure if it's solid yet, but NHIS has the same weekends marked that LRRS does...Originally posted by Rye

Stoneman Seeing as how we are track neighbors and all. If you guys need anything and I have Help "standing around" feel free to grab one of my guys for the day or whatever. We are supposed to be well covered in the help arena. that is a "supposed to be". Were there if and when you need us and you know we will be at all the events.
Thanks, Scotty. I'm sure we'll be tossing people over your way if needed too. It's appreciated...

Uh, I think I'm in the same general boat as Jeff, I'd love to come help you guys out and learn about what goes on behind the wall. Unfortunately, there's too much stuff going on for me to really commitMaybe as the time draws nearer I can be a little more specific. If not, I'll just try to show up when I can and do whatever is left to do

I'm really ineterested in racing, and I'd love to kind of get the feel of how the whole thing works. Anyway, I guess we'll see how the scheduling works out.

Jay,
How about a volunteer team that may consist of over a dozen peoples that choose the days that they can show up. Set up a schedule and yaddi yadda yadda... Get my drift. I am with Matt I can't commit to a whole season but would not mind one bit to help a few days hea and thea.
We do that as part of Watervilles Ski Patrol.. We have a minimum number of days to show up to be part of the team. You can swap days with others if a conflict comes up... etc...
Part of the team includes stuff like getting to hang out with the official NESR race team.... etc...
Just trowing that out thea..

This seems like a great Idea how can we make an interactive web page with slots and datesOriginally posted by snowborder

snowborders idea sounds like the best one so far...but how about something like this...
How about treating the race days like we do a ride.
In other words, everyone that can make it that day/week put your name up all in the same post.
That way everyone will know who is...and who isnt/cant make it.
Then when everyone gets there, we can all be assigned our duties right then and there. Possibly even post your name with (maybe) beside it too.
I think i only saw this once as far as a ride was conncerned, but i thought that it worked out pretty well.
JUST A THOUGHT.
