We brought Tim Barclay's younger brother Keith to the track one year. He had his ratty GPz550 with a rusty chain on it. They were running Noduol with the start/finish line at the regular line. (One time the line was at the phone pole at pit lane straight. Talk about your Supercross style starts into Turn 8!) Keith got the hole shot and went too hot into 10, so he stood it up and cruised through pit lane, rejoining the race at the rear. He eventually retook the lead, then stretched it out by 10-20 seconds while we furiously signaled him to ease the pace a little. Tim walked up to his after he won and said, "If you hadn't won the race, I'd of beat the crap out of you, you dumb fuck!" Then he looked down and saw that the racing boots that he had loaned his brother were destroyed. Keith never raced again after that weekend.

I finally scanned a bunch of pics from assorted years, '83 to '90. Them's was different times, that's for sure. We had some great times.......
My buddy had a log cabin in Meredith. Here's some of our bikes parked along the edge of Meredith Neck Road.(mine was the red & white CB1100F)
Some action shots:
And of course, fun and games in the camping area and parking lots:
Hope these pics stir up some good memories.
Cheers to you all from a much younger teemstah.......

They may not have stirred up memories, but they sure as shit stirred up some ideas!
NICE! I have some similar photos somewhere. That was the second season I was racing up there. Good times.
Gary Stas is a good friend of mine... lives down the street and I used to work w/him framing houses. He has to be one of the funniest guys ever... so the other day I ran into him and told him I was going racing this year and then came the onslaught of stories complete w/animation and motorcycle noises! Good to see he wasn't telling fish stories... he may be coming up to be something of a mentor for me... and I was also trying to get him to race again...
Thanks for the pics and stories... I'll have to show Stas this thread.

Any more? I could look at these all day.
I was a little too young. Compared to today - it looks a lot more laid-back and fun. My kind of spectatoring (is that a word?).
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

That first pic of Jerry. Is it me or is he minus a shield and/ or goggles? That is nuts! Who knew you could hang a KZ550 like that? Guess he can. That too, is nuts!!
Superbike Planet ran some photos yesterday of Loudon from 1984.

I remember this crash. It was during the endurance race in either '86 or '87. There was a sequence of photos of the incident somewhere (In the program, I think) and our rider is seen riding through the flames and/or smoke because it happened right in front of him.
