So I tried on a size US40 Teknics and they were a hair to small. So I am guessing I am around a US41 or 42. I am looking at a clean one-piece AGV's leathers for $450 and they are a size US40. Does anyone know if they fit differently from teknics? maybe, hopefully, a hair bigger?
Or
Anyone selling one-piece leathers size US41-42?? Most I could spend would be around $550.
Thanks Guys,

I have no idea how they run compared to teknics, but I have an A* US8 (Eu 44) that you are welcome to try for size if you'd like. I don't plan to part wiyh them, since they are basically brand new and fit great. You're a bit smaller than me, IIRC.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
There is no such thing as a 41 btw. And all you can do is look at the companies individual sizing charts and compare them.

AGVs do 'stretch' as they break in. I have a 44 that was a tight fit when I got it, it's now quite comfy. If it's tight enough that you want to stoop slightly when wearing it, you're in the right ballpark. They aren't supposed to be comfy standing bolt upright.
I've got that and an off the rack 42 Vanson you can test if you want, I suspect you'll be swimming in the AGV though.
When it comes to suit sizes . One will be a "race" cut which is going to fitt snug while you are in a rideing position , legs and arms bent while leaning forward.
The other fit would be a more relaxed fit for us fat tmericans that wiegh over the 160lbs that thes bikes where designed for.
, I'm a 42 long in a dress suit .
In a 1 pc leather Im a 46/48 in 1 model and the same company diff model a size 52.
Moral of this story , need to try on suits to make sure the fit correctly.

It's worth the $3 for a cloth tape measure so you can measure yourself (that's what she said?). Then you have some idea when you look at a manufacturer's size chart.
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
FWIW, I found that with women's suits, measurements matter more at the hip than the waist. Don't know if you are looking for women's specific, but I would recommend it, only because a men's suit is made to fit a man, a women's suit will fit your arms, legs, hips and chest better, and the armor will be in the right place. If you're buying new, look for a women's cut.

Kat, Make sure you know what year the teknic was that you tried on. If it was an older one they used to fit a size smaller (IE a 42 fit like a 40, and a 40 like a 38).
No idea on year...but it was this one..

You're welcome to try on either one of my dainese 42's. They're a little stretched out in the ball region though.
I'd sell you my old one cheap but I"m keeping it as a rain suit/spare.
Actually, I've got an IXS 40 (?) in the basement, but it's got a big tear in the right hip.
