I've become very indecisive choosing some tires this year and I've now decided to buy some extra wheels for track use. I'm not racing but I figured this may be the right place to find an answer to a question about these tires. (assuming some of you guys use this tire) I'm going with the SC2 (soft) in the rear. I'm curious if I should go with the supersoft compound up front (SC1) or the SC2. I can run 27's around the track and will probably improve this year. I know that a street tire is fine for this pace but I got a hell of a deal on these tires at the moment. I'm probably 235-240 lb's all geared up in case weight is a deciding factor. This is my 1st time buying a tire that have a choice in compounds so I'd like to get the right combo from the start. What would you suggest? Thank you.

I run the SC1 In front and the sc 2 In the rear, On my 600 Last year I went with a supercorsa pro Front and regular supercorsa rear. The reason being that I perfer the shape of the pro for the Front it felt like it turned faster and the Supercorsa rear was a $$$ Choice I have run both and sid not see a diffrence with the rear.

If you overheat an SC1 front tire I will eat my own poop![]()

brake as late as ya want, you're NOT gonna overheat it unless it's 130 degrees out
Like I said via PM... If you're gonna run the supercorsas, just run the SC1/SC2 combo. That's what the guys at the track run all season no matter how hot it gets at Loudon.
For PSI I generally run roughly 29 front, 28 rear depending on temp. If it's super hot I raise em up a lb, if it's super cold I'll drop em a lb. Anything between 27 & 32 will be just fine at track day pace.

I do generally use warmers at race weekends... but that wouldn't matter since "tire pressures" are typically set while cold and also if you measured your PSI right when you come off the track it'll probably be closer to 33-35.
My pressures are probably 1lb less than yours because of personal preference, weight, whatever. Everyone's different.

guys run 13s on those tires without over heating the front ... and they don't brake until god starts talking ... you'll be fine (=

I think so too. And for the price, it was like buying PP's, qualifiers, or their corsa III's.
