I was at pergrid talking with everyone there when the red flag came out. The look on their faces when the radio call hit their headset and me not knowing what was going on told me more then I ever want to hear. I still don't know exactly what happened or who it was. If anyone knows FACTS and only facts could you share with us please. I'm not a religious man but my thoughts and prayers go out to the rider and his family.
It was actually in T4/5. I saw the whole thing and would also like to know anything more anyone knows. It was a horrible thing to see, wish i didnt...
I've heard that he is alive, so that is a good thing. Possibly lost a foot? That's what Pkates was able to say

He just posted to Facebook.
Wasn't there but seems like this is the guy, typing his own update. LRRS Motorcycle Racing Public Group | Facebook
OMG how sad. He seems to be dealing with it bravely, at least on the surface. Wishing a speedy recovery of body and spirit.
That is the best news I've heard. I was thinking the worst. Looking on the bright side now,it's only a foot. I raced at Pocono with a guy that was a paraplegic. He Velcroed his feet to customize flat rearsets so his legs would stay put. If I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it. Only having one foot is a big advantage now. Tremendous savage move to save weight and a story like that will never get old. If that happened to me I would be stoping people walking down the street to tell them how I severed my foot!
Seriously I was sickened at what I was hearing. I can sleep much better now.

The whole paddock turned somber quick...really eerie feeling. Glad to see hes well enough to be able to post!! Lost foot sucks, but much better than what felt like might have happened.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.

I'm happy to hear this as well. The paddock did turn somber, every single person there looked to be upset and worried. I was no different even though I'm brand new to LRRS and don't know him. It was palpable, and frankly moving. When you read this Brett, know that so many people care about you. Everyone who knows you loves ya, you aren't alone.
I went to see him and he was asleep...met with his brother and will go back today.
Love ya buddy and was VERY happy to hear you were alive............

Good luck Brett! You got a whole paddock behind you!
