Middleweight - 600's are the bike for Loudon and where it's at!
Lightweight - SV's and Ducati SS1000's mixing it up!!
Ultralightweight - I may be fat and slow, but little bikes are KILLAH!!!
Supertwins - Where the big boys play with expensive bikes...
Yeah, already getting shit from my buddies about that
My biggest concern at the moment is whether or not I can come to grips with riding an I4 fast on the track, I got to try Degs' F4 once racing an endurance race, and really couldn't wrap my head around it. I really want to try a GSXR 600 though, as I've always heard they're incredibly easy to get on and go fast.
I did the 675 and couldn't get to where I wanted as well....
So far, the 748 I raced was by far the most comfortable track bike I've ever had, but it's also by far the most seat time I've ever had.
The 750SS I ran for 2 weekends was a work in progress, but getting much better.... I was able to go decently fast (1:20-1:22's) within 2 weekends while dialing the bike in, and actually raced with some guys which was ridiculous amounts of fun.
I'm torn really, between going with what I know works (SS or 848) or trying something much lower maintenance, cheaper, and different... (SV or 600).
I don't have the racing experience, but I'd personally try something different because I would probably end up looking back and wondering what it would've been like to try something else.
Or just go with what you know, you'll probably be more comfortable and have better results with that anyways- if that's your goal.
Current:
00 Aprilia RSV-R
Past:
06 R6
05 R6
97 Honda F3
Better results... always a goal! But mostly I won't have much time for practice sessions (will be changing tires!!) so I need something I can hop on, go fast, and have fun.... if I could bring my 748 back from the dead I would, but... haha, no freakin way. I still have pieces of that bike by turns 8 / 9 I swear...
The only reason I broke it out of was the track got wet and I had no rain tires with me. I thought it was a mistake for the first half lap. It didn't turn in quick enough, four finger braking was mandatory in 3, 6, and 1, it was a lot to concentrate on while trying to keep it pretty. After I figured out it needed a little more pressure on the bars and brake I was right at home. I could concentrate on my lines and staying smooth rather than trying to adjust my riding to the work with bike. It was fun having an extra 5k rpm to play with. This is a bone stock '05, sag isn't set, haven't touched the clickers, the front pads are a little thin, and it still was easy to ride relatively quick. I think with a little set-up and better brake pads/lines it would be a weapon. Funny, I had no love for this bike and had been thinking of selling it prior Monday, turns out it was the best part of the day.
i voted LW. if the schedule doesnt change for next, which i doubt it will, there is only a couple races on Sun that you can run which means you can work slinging tires Sat and race on Sun.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Even if the rest of the world changes the SV into a ULSB class I don't think LRRS will allow it. SB SV's are now running 14.2's. That's 3.5 seconds off the club track record. SS SV are running 16's
Ge I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. ah hem...

Yeah I can't deny it, I have had a lot of bikes, but they were / are MY bikes. Denno just buys crappy bikes and wants to ride other people's nice bikes.
He might be smarter than we all give him credit for now that I think about it...
He also is a man-slut, not a whore... lets make that distinction clear!
