Okay, Thursday or Friday?

Thursday: I've heard this is the one to do. Track time is outrageous, and very few people show up. Costs?

Friday: I heard a lot of disappointed people say this weekend that they didn't get much in for their money. I think it's like, $70. But those same people said they only got in about 15 laps. If that's the case, I'd say it's hardly worth it...

What's everyone's thoughts on this? I REALLY need to get some saddle time in on that thing, and I'd like to do it in a non race environment first, just to get used to it....

Thursday you will get a lot more track time. For $100 it goes from 1-5 and if there aren't that many people there it will be open track the whole time. If it's busy 20-25 guys they split it up Am and JR/EX. But yes it you will get a lot more track time on Thursday. If you want we should do a Thursday practice that is from 8-12 (they are always held on a Thursday that is on a off race weekend). There is no more then 8-10 bikes total that show up. Last year I did a lot of these and that's how I got faster, because you don't have to worry about getting held up or getting cut off by anyone and the track is wide open.
After doing Friday's practice and paying $70 I don't think it's worth the money. I would say if people can go on Thursday lets do it.

The next Thursday practice is a 1:00-5:00 deal, I believe, and it's May 15th. I'll double check, but I think that's accurate...

Originally, I was planning on taking Friday, the 16th off to go set up our pit area. But I can probably swing a Thursday afternoon/Friday afternoon thing just as easily...

If it's something ya wanna do Kip, would you be into following me around some to gimme some tips/advice/slaps in the head? And would you be preevy to doing some 'follow the leader' stuff with me too?

I would have no problem with doing that. I will have to check and see when my wife is going out of town on that Thursday. I don't think she would be to happy with me if I told her to take a cab to the airport, because I was at the track. She did mention she thought she would be flying out first thing in the morning which would mean I could make the 1-5 practice.

Sweet, man! The LRRS site does have Thursday, May 15th from 1:00 - 5:00 down as the next Thursday practice...

If anyone else can make it, the more the merrier! I'll gladly take tips/advice/slaps in the head from anyone that wants to show up that Thursday!

Thursday /Friday is good for me to set up, but i wont be able to get there till 4ish (not jewish) after work. keep me posted!

Stoneman!!!! Hey, I'm there on Thursday too. We can do some follow the leader and such. i think Scottie is doing it too, and a couple other Double Apexer's too perhaps. Can't wait, see ya there. My track bike will be all good by then.
