    pre race check list

    Is there a list published of what you all check before each round of racing?
    For example, tire pressure, gas, tire warmers, etc....


    Trying to learn the MC game here.

    What I was thinking was more a worksheet (David I think, maybe Pete) made to list tire pressure pre and post race, weather conditions, lap times, etc etc, trying to find that extra edge.
    But your idea aint bad either

    I thought you meant sort of stuff to double check pre gridding...ie:

    • Tires
      Warmers were actually plugged in and on
      Warmers removed
      tire pressure - before and after race
      valve caps on/tight
    • gas - enough for the race
    • oil
    • transponder/mounted
    • grid position (I taped an index card to my tank each day with positions)
    • all controls free and working (kinda like a run-up in a plane)
    • ear plugs (if you use em)
    • Chin strap fastened
    • leathers zipped all the way
    • boots properly closed


    etc...

    List?

    I make my list during my 10 minute pre-race stretches.

    Pre-race is tire warmers, fuel, engine oil level. Tire psi check in the morning and again around mid-day.

    Everything else usually set to go otherwise.

    I race pitbikes, just a few things I check before hand is... oil, chain, gas, tire pressure, all bolts (make sure everything is tight), gear, HELMET, and money for lunch
