Actually there are a few at Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, and Daytona also. I guess you could call it a real blast from the past. Enjoy.

Many Questions:
1) How do you like the gas their burning? Wonder how many people complained about the fumes they were breathing?
2) Is that the bowl being run in reverse?
3) Anyone see the corner marshall helping the rider out... looks like he's laughing at him! Not that its funny, but seeing him it is!
That's great!
#0028.........Is that when they used to run the course backward at Loudon?...Nice pics BTW.

I learned to race at the old Bryar Motorsports Park. Even broke my pelvis in the pond off turn 3. Yeah we even ran the track backwards and called Nodoul. ( Loundon backwards for you non-dyslexic) I won my first race at Bridgehampton as well. I love the shot of Eddie Lawson working out of box truck. Back then that was pimpin' 'yo. Larry Hanlon use to show up with the bike on the roof of his car..... Those were great times. The parties were more dangerous than the racing......
I raced the old Loudon track for three years on an RD400. The normal direction was clockwise back then and once a year they'd run it backward (counterclockwise) I won my first race running Noduol.
I stuffed the RD in the back of my Subaru wagon (see photo) for two oor three events until I bought the trailer I still have today.
So we are currently Racing "Nodoul"?
You do realize that I was like 10-13 when these were taken.
Is this where 1a is now?

Thats where the tunnel comes in and the parking area/infield is now I believe.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
My Dad used to race a bike just like this one at Loudon. I dont think this one is his though, because it's too nice.

I'll title the photos that best I can. Anyone that knows anything about the riders, speak up if you want me to title it. Thanks

I was on the hill in 1980 during the nationals, when the turn 5 tower, and the bleachers went up in flames. Woke up on Sunday, next to a rock. What a show!!
The only part of the old track that is even close is the bowl and T8. You would come up the hill from past the T9 area and crest the hill about where T8 is now and then go straight down into the bowl and turn right through the bowl. The pond in that pic. was moved, the culverts were not even close to where they are now.
I was born in 1980.
Loved the bikes of that era. Going fast musta took some serious balls.

I like how some of the corner workers were topless.
They should keep doing that.
