R6 question?

anyone know if a 2008 R6 tank will fit the 2006-2007 model? I know they did a little reshaping of the "ignition curves" but the rest looks the same.

arcy, sorry i can't help on yami Q's... but... Is yours torn? I haven't seen too many tanks that were beyond repairable. You can always get a head start on the reshape by pressurizing the tank.

Sorry if you were looking for a more specific answer... not only did they reshape the tank (however for some ungodly reason they reshaped the stick-out points but they can still explode...) but they put the variable intake tract length mechanism in there to help the midrange, which required reshaping of the airbox and subsequent reshaping of the gas tank.

Do you need a tank? When do you need it by? I might have one you can borrow...

Let me know if you get in a crunch and need it. This tank has a right side slider but no left side, you could rig something up though... and it has a fuel pump. I should have it back by the end of next week.

(yeah it's my spare... you didn't think I'd lend you my minty mint one did you? )
