what was going on in turn three during the last ptwins race? ran it wide a few times with the rear hopping like crazy. Bit of a close call the first time as you came back on line to keep up with BJ.

    Doood!

That was some scary shite right there. The first two laps seemed ok but then it would just lock the rear when downshifting. Nothing like bouncing the thing sideways to the handlebar locks! Then I pulled the clutch thinking the engine locked and shot faster at the tire wall!

It all began in Sunday morning practice. When they announced that it would be an open practice I threw the rains on and said "I'm not coming in til the checkers". After about 20 laps I ran out of gas and came in to fill up. I went right back out and after about 10 laps I come up on Charlie T. on the straight. I lean out and and grab a big handful of his ass cheek just before the 4 board. While I'm going through turn 1 I'm thinking "gee, I hope I didn't freak him out and screw him up there". Then I proceed to lowside in 2. As I'm sliding on my ass feet forward I can see Charlie coming through 2 just fine.

I get back on and come through 2 the next lap, there's Charlie picking his bike up giving me the "me. too" shrug! Too funny! I finished out the wet practice and the bike felt great, in fact by then I was just drifting both wheels in every corner after 40 laps! If the P-Twins race was in the wet I was going to kick ass!

In the pits I looked everything over and it looked fine. But in the race, only in 3 (the only place I downshift 3 times) it would lock the rear. I was lucky to not crash, and I stuffed Joe pretty bad in the heat of brown underwear.

I finally figured it out at a snack bar on Route 9 on the way home. The crash bent the end of the clutch lever in so the ball was touching the bar and effectively not allowing the clutch to dis-engage fully. Damn, I think I could have gotten B.J. that race. (I say that every race)

    Back to the elevators yet?

haven't made it back to work yet, I'll see the orthopedic doc tomorrow and see if he'll clear me. That was a hell of a race to watch, bummed not to be out there you were going real good. We've got to see if we can get that race split for next year if those grid sizes keep up. Alot of close calls and desperate passes, a bit scary to watch, but I can't wait to get back out on the track.
Even with just one hand all of the bikes are in various states including my RD400, USCRA vintage anyone?
