race repert 2

ill try to make it short since i was only in 2 races and they were both on sunday. good thing too because i heard Sat. sucked.
Show up Sat eve and set up. then get there at the ass crack of dawn on Sun to reg. and tech. go out for practice and im just not feeling it for some reason. i dont think i like practicing anymore. i did get under 1:30 though. not bad since its the first time ive been on the track when it was dry. my goal for the weekend was mid 20s though so still not good enough.

Race 8: im in over my head here with an SV in an unlimited class but ill give it a go. i get a decent start, not as good as usual, but good. im 4th into T1 then eventually get passed by someone and there i stay basically.there was a red flag (erin get well) and i get a MUCH better start but still in 5th after some shuffling. i have a little battle for 5th (he passed me under a waving yellow) but i wasnt gonna take that so i passed him back and that was it......5th..my worst finish yet but did get down to the 1:26s

Between these races the sky opened up and it poured for about 20 min. With not enough time to do the tire tango i stick DOTs and Dan puts a rain the rear of his bike with a DOT on the front

Race 11: i get to start in the first wave this time. Dan is 2rows in front of me and i inform him before the race that i will show him what a good start looks like...and i keep my word. an awesome start. 2nd into T1 and 1st out of T3.. a couple laps in and i swear i hear a 4 banger behind me (my bike is too loud) i assume its Dan. i miss ashift out of T12 and look back to see that it IS Dan but i got about 10 or so bike lengths on him. i keep my head down for a few more laps. as fast as i feel safe. it was still damp in spots but there was a DEFINATE dry line forming (knee down in T6) but still damp and tentative. i get the Surface flag in T2 while he points at the sky...rain..DAMMIT! I back offa little and Dan goes by me on the straight. i get him back in T11, but then the skys opened again on the last lap. and after some lap traffic Dan gets by me again and i cruise it home. i think we won by 21 sec. or something stupid like that. great race. it was fun racing with Dan. wish other teamates were in that race. we coulda swept em
