Got out of school on Thursday around 2:30. Went home and decided I should be getting ready to go up to New Hampshire. After procrastinating on getting ready, I was told by my father that we would leave the next morning. We did as planned and arrived up at the house sometime that morning. My father was in the process of lapping the head of the cylinders so I waited around and watched as him and Curt did that.
After cleaning a part of the engine it was decided that the compressed air at the track would be better, so we went down there. I went out for practice and didn’t feel good at all on my front Michelin, and later crashed coming out of the bowl. I was feeling fine but the paramedics said I should go with them because they were bored, so I did. That was the last practice of the day and I was pushing pretty hard to prepare for the following day.
The next day came and I heard rain when I woke up. I never liked the rain and I think I missed the practices. No problem. I was only doing the LW Sportsman and the rain I thought would stop.
By the time the race came around it was still raining and I wasn’t real confident in what I was suppose to do. I went out and survived with no crashing. I didn’t like that race and finished pretty bad. That was a race I just wanted to finish so I could move up to Amateurs for next weekend.
My dad was still working on his engine and snapped a head bolt while tightening them in. It was a huge waste of time on his part but he had a spare motor and was able to run that Saturday.
Sunday came along and I did the GTL in the rain. I was feeling good until the line on the track was going dry and the tires started getting greasy. I finished that race as well just cruising around, and was looking forward to a wet P-Twins race.
Just as the Novice P-Twins race was coming up the sun came out and we had a dry race after all. I was still testing a Pirelli front and did not want to still be experimenting with it when I wanted to go as fast as I could. Anyway I went out there and went fast on the warm-up lap. Lined up on grid and when the green flag flew Clayton came out of nowhere wheelying in front of me and killing my drive. Later I found that he had a clutch problem but he still put me in last off the start. I ended up going pretty slow the entire race just being unsure about the front tire. It wasn’t a bad finished for my last novice weekend.

looks like we will have a nice grid for the last PT race of the year in AM.![]()
Ah not so fast...
I have an open house at the school to attend tonight. I might find a way to save myself some money (and save face for one more weekend), depending on reports I get. I was just beginning to enjoy my "alone time" at the track during the AM races.![]()

It looks like I won't have that "opportunity" to ride Conor's bike anymore since he heard from Don this morning.
