I bought a new camper Sunday night, and am putting together a list of things that it may be nice to have in it for the race weekends. Any small/cheap/easy creature comfort things you think may be nice to have, mention! I am horrible at packing, I never bring everything I need. Now I'm trying to plan, stock up and pack for the camper...
So far:
Blanket
Sheet
Pillow
Coffee Maker
Coffee Cups
foreman grill (it has a stove but this is easy & I have it)
FORKS (I've been meaning to bring forks to the track since I started racing, and never once have. I end up using cans from the food as a fork)
Canned/packaged food
TV? I have one, but no clue what I'd watch on it without cable
Alarm clock
Radio
Can opener
Vitamin water
Chair
Extension cord(s)
Netbook (to order CL strippers, ty Jim)
First aid stuff (thanks Ted)
Small grill
Tongs or Spatula for grill
"Toiletries" - thanks from another forum
Paper Towels
disposable cups/plates
flip flops
broom
2x4s for wheel chalks & under the tongue jack
Microwave
Popcorn
Space heater
Clothes hangers
30A to normal plug adapter
What am I missing? I'm sure some shit is glaringly obvious...
Clothes/tools/race gear/bike/stands are givens, btw. Even I remember those (although I did make it halfway to the truck before remembering helmets last time)

I always bring fans, but since this is my "list" for this weekend I'll add it. The fan can stay from now on too. Good call on the grill thing. Added. As is a small real grill.
RV power adaptor (50amp to whatever your plug is)
Water hose
water pressure regulator
potable water
liquor
chairs
folding table is nice to have
firepit with sh#$ to burn!!! fire's cool
rug
radio
paper towels
FIRST AID KIT (much classier than paper towels and duct tape)
Man, you roll in style. this thing isn't that nice, and I plan to ghetto it up a bit. It does have a sink - so a hose may be a good idea. I didn't even think of using the sink - never did in my old one. I wonder if the sinks work in this one? No way will the bathroom be in service, the bathrooms are a 20 second scooter ride or 1 minute walk away.
I drink the water from the hose on the side of the garage. Hasn't made me sick yet.
Firepits are awesome, not sure how they'd go over right outside the garage where I'll be set up. It's worth asking next weekend.
Rug? For?
PAPER TOWELS! Winna!
First aid is on there thanks to Ted![]()
Anyone use charcoal grills over the pavement by the garages? Does that fly or is that a no-no?
Also adding a broom.
You can have the broom you bought for me..don't think I'll be using it.
Rug is much better than stones in T1A but you be one of da classy peps wit garages.
I don't trust that water for drinkin but it is NH how bad could it be??
How about hanging xmas lights? there's ghetto!
Sweet! I'm pretty sure I'll forget to buy one anyway, but we'll see.
Dunno about classy, just clueless enough that I need to be surrounded by the EX guys that know what they're doing.
Water never bothered me, or a few of the other guys in my garage that drink it.
xmas lights? lmao. I'm not shooting for ghetto, I'm just not going out of my way to class it up either. I want comfortable and functional above all.
get yourself a 6x8' piece of astroturf to roll out in front. that way you have a place to kick off your shoes, stage the grill, broom, chairs: you know, the hospitality suite.

Bitchin idea Chip, but I doubt I'll have the real estate outside the camper. They get stacked in front of the garage, so there usually isn't a ton of room between them. Suppose I could set it up in front of the camper or whatever, be nice to have the spot to chill.
heck yes. then get a little runner to go from the "patio" to the door. that way you can keep your travels tar free.

Did anyone say a little space heater?

Good calls everyone. Seth, not sure about that, but it's worth some thought. Rob, nobody suggested a microwave, I'll keep my eyes open for a cheap one. For all I know the camper comes with one. The foreman and real grill will work for the classic, and I'll grab one if it doesn't have one.
Doc, nobody said heater. I even have a small one, and it'd totally slipped my mind. Thanks.
I have a tool chest, all my race spares, my race notebook, extra oil, and cleaners and stuff. All my extension cords... Heater, Fan, Air Matress, folding chairs/table. Coat hangers.

My tool collection sucks, it all fits in a small thing with wheels and I need it at home as well as the track, it goes back and forth. Race spares will stay there. Notebook I like to refer to at home. Oil is a good idea, but it's an EX... who changes that? Cleaning stuff, check. Cords, heater and fans will stay there. AJs roomie killed my air mattress, but this has beds so not a huge loss. Hangers are a good idea too.
I'd take you up on that if I knew if there was one in the camper already. If there is, another would just add to the list of useless shit I already have (the other camper, a sailboat, etc.)
