So if weather is looking decent (i.e. not rain and/or freezing) I might make an appearance for round 7 on a generously-offered borrowed tard ride. I have all my gear except my helmet is out of date. Couple of Q's:
1. Do I just sign up for my license in person that day? Or do I need to do something ahead of time? I assume I can be licensed as an AM since it's only been like 1.5 years since my last race (was licensed last season).
2. I can just rent a transponder, right?
3. Friday practice I can just walk up and pay (without a current license)?
4. I assume they won't let my helmet date slide. So I guess I need an in-date helmet and eject system. Would prefer not to buy either at this point if I don't have to... anyone not going to be racing that I could borrow one from? I wear a size L arai.
5. Miles should have yellow duct tape and black duct tape or black numbers, I assume.
6. Anything else?
Hopes would be to return next year with my own ride of some sort. But having an opportunity to rip a bit and hang out for the final round is too good to pass up if it all comes together.

I have a transponder and Large Shoei if that helps
Yellow duct tape at walmart is $3. Electrical tape for number is $.99
Full set of numbers from amazon 0-9 x 3 is $7. Milles sells each number for $2!!
You will be able to come back as an AM yes.
Yes you can rent a transponder. Actually rule books states you the same transponder can be used from 2 riders max. So you can even borrow one since you want be in the MW races.
Friday you can do any of the penguin practices without a current license by telling them you are racing this weekend. I would def email penguin now to make sure you can get a license without having to do a specific course
You're good for renewal. Over 5 years and you have to retake race school. Over 3 and you have to bounce back a class. You're well within both of those markers.

I just realized another thing, I'll need a stupid eject system thingamabobber.
I think I was overthinking the licensing thing. I was licensed last year, so I can just get licensed this year. I just lost my number. Assuming I can just sign up in the media center, I guess it should be relatively painless. What about pre-reg discounts and three-races-get-your-pass-free? I guess i'm screwed on all that since I can't really pre-reg.
Are you on the way up to the track or out of the way? (or will you be going to the round)? I assume a L shoei would fit me if a L arai fits me... and xponder would save me rental fee.
Actually that's probably the way to go.
I already blew up JC's tard once when it was mine hahaha

Not really on the way from your direction.
I'll be in touch tomorrow but no, I do not plan on being there.

If that doesn't work out I can probably figure out how to get Paul's helmet to the track (although I'm out of the country with *flexible* travel dates), with his approval of course.
I'm semi in the area and am willing to help collect and deliver gear to/from Paul/Jason/NHMS too.
I don't have any spare gear myself though.
No worries, peeps. I can meet Chris wherever just can't dedicate multiple hours to being at the track
You are welcome to use my spare Nexx in Large, it already has an EJECT system in it. It will be at the track anyway so if something else falls through you can feel free to fall back on this if needed.

I have a new large Arai RXQ that I keep as a spare. I just need to install the eject system in it. You're welcome to use it for round 7 (unless I trash my primary). It comes to the track with me anyway, so if others fall through it's available if needed.

If I'm not mistaken regarding the eject system, it's single install. Meaning you're probably better off to borrow someone's spare racing helmet with it installed already, otherwise you waste $60 putting it in someone else's helmet.
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
